A Bit of History: All Domains 15 Years Ago

Searching for the backlinks to one of my domains I found a nice page containing:

...
a rather extensive listing of domain names for all the major computer systems on the Internet
...

This is exactly 15 years ago this month so I think it is worth posting. The ICL.CA can not be right, but look at the list: lots of 1 character domains that have dropped since, plenty of now valuable stuff still unregged. And this is only 15 years ago!

Interesting that there have been single letters .com and a few dropped letters like A.com

I can make one claim! The company I have worked for for 34 years is on the list : www.PGE.com ! Funny, so long ago in domain years, but less than half the years I have worked for them.
I worked for PG&E in customer services then. I can remember, way before 1993, when we switched from "microfiche" to early computers, with 5 1/4 inch floopy disks, and black and white monitors!
I wish the "computer" bug would have hit me more, and would have been more "high-tech".

I am sure a lot of people (especially non-us citizens) are not aware of those second level .us domains. Those still exist and some of them are actually in use: http://state.la.us/
