Well, this does not sound fair to me.

Actually, if you look at the rules for Domain Auction forum (http://www.namepros.com/domains-for-sale-auctions-announcements.html), you will see this is not only my opinion.

In this case, my bid is valid only 48 hours from its timestamp.

As far as I understand, this rules are for domains sales, not sites.
You can cancel your bid if you wish to (However, I hope you will not.)

I agree with you, they are mandatory for Domain Auctions, that's why I will still keep my bid open (but only for 48 hours after its timestamp). Otherwise my bid would already been void

I was pointed you to that thread just to show you that more people agree that auctions without a clear end are in buyers detriment.
