Only 26 of these are in existence, so they are extremely rare :xf.smile:

I wanted to know more about them, are any developed, any sales prices on namebio any listed with a BIN? Etc etc

I have included how many extensions each is registered in according to Dofo

As a lot of high value sales go unreported so I was not expecting to find to much info on namebio but was interested to see if these combinations had reported sales in other extensions.....

I also did not spend a lot of time looking for developed sites in other extensions, if you know of any not mentioned feel free to share them and If anyone has any information on sales prices or anything interesting to add please do so!

Good topic though.

Thanks for sharing! Interesting read. Some are quite desirable, while some I wouldn't touch.

I picked up UUU.co.uk and UUU.uk earlier this year. I'm not too sure who the end users would be for these repeating types. They are top draw for memorability and as you've said they are super rare so they hold an intrinsic value based on that. It surprises me how many of the listed sites aren't being used by end users. Maybe they're being over priced and it's only domain investors that see this intrinsic value.

That's a very good point and one I was mulling over.....personally think they could be overpriced, but who am I to say

iiii.com has a sale's price of 800,000 - https://www.lvmi.com/iiii_com.html not sure if this USD or RMB though

I was going to list some acronym's for these combinations to show some possible end user applications, might do that for the second post.

My thoughts are that existing acronyms and/or businesses with 4 or even 3 repeating letters are probably few and far between. 2 repeating letters will be common because alliteration with 2 words sounds great and is easily brandable (eg Brilliant Brickwork or Fantastic Fireplaces).

With 3 or 4 letter repeaters is more likely someone would by the name for reasons mentioned before (memorability, looks and status or rarity) then make up a name around it.

Maybe... I dunno just spit ballin lol

Good breakdown - probably why the few that are in use are redirects ( +1 basic site) and not standalone sites....

Had a quick look on https://www.thefreedictionary.com at AAAA and the majority of the acronyms (there was a lot of them) seem to be for associations including....

AAAA American Association Against Acronyms :)

BBBB - has 4 which are totally useless from a business perspective including......

BBBB Bent & Bongs Beer Bash (UK) which I think is pretty cool :xf.smile:
