Yesterday received one of my highest single ad clicks commissions of $ 21. Basket total $ 263. Commission level 8%. Network Amazon Associates. Niche is sport. Product is sports merchandise. Format is native ad within content (sports merchandise matches sporting event happening now ---- Olympic Games). Simple blog about sport with calendar as evergreen content. Took around one day to create from registering the domain name to completed website. Regular quick updates. Total time investment one hour weekly. One click pays for two years registration. Just an option if you have the inclination to develop.

This year I've earned a few dashes north of £ 1000 } $ 1400 from 3 domain name sales and a smidge south of £ 12000 } $ 16600 from affiliate ads. I look at that as an indicator that [ a ] am much more skilled at developing domain names than selling them plus [ b ] found a way to pay the basic life expenses while living on what they call a shoestring budget. The total time output to earn that significant but very low income has gone north of 50 hours most weeks. From that maybe only 20 productive hours weekly it's suggesting that you could run a similar operation by dedicating 4 hours daily. Most people working a regular job would struggle to do it without firstly giving up your relaxing hours after work. Second you'd need to be f*cking ruthlessly well organised and turn off all personal social media and set your phone to reject calls. Probably need to find a room and lock the door and just go at it. One thing I refuse to do is work on weekends unless there's a very special reason. In that scenario say you worked a Saturday 4 hours you can take a day off in the week. Sunday I don't work under any scenario. Beefburger barbecue, cheap Polish beer and gardening are sacred beyond anything digital.

nice.. well whatever let's u get by being yer own beats working for others...even if for more... in my books too.

50h per week for 16k usd.. well... many countries for these hours u get half this pay.. and in many u also just get a fraction of this...

My nemesis like so many people is laziness. With a better work ethic and charts on the wall income could easily double after 3 or 4 months of pure focus. Sad to say it but I'm very lazy and the kitchen is a constant temptation. @alcy What I need is an anti laziness pill or substance but they're illegal and have certain side affects. Apparently.

Late last night £ 10 } $ 14 ad click from one of my Redbubble affiliate network websites. Order came from Russia for Russian Federation country flag items referred from Olympic games landing page on my site. Basket total £ 100 } $ 140 following ad click. You might like to contact your parking provider to see whether you can display cost per sale ads? Customer needs to click your ad and make a purchase. Redbubble pays 10 % commission. Net60 means the money comes in late September. I will be able to renew that domain name to 2024 and any more commission in 3 years helps pay for hosting, licenses and maybe some steak for my bbq. Cheers.

this section requires u to post proof of yer earnings.
Is that a Namepros rule or general etiquette? I'm happy to share the exact monetisation system so you can copy it. But my affiliate T.O.S. https://affiliate-program.amazon.co.uk/help/operating/agreement prevents sharing confidential information. A screenshot would be breaking the T.O.S. since it includes an exact figure rather than the rounded figure I posted. You might think that's B.S. and you're perfectly entitled to your views --- I appreciate your posts. But the system I use to monetise my domain names is clearly listed and it works as others here who do it can attest to. If Namepros T.O.S. require me to voluntarily break Amazon T.O.S. then I'll have to stop sharing what I've learnt. Maybe @Bravo Mod Team can advise best solution?

that being said.. yer not lazy..neither are other.domainers ..alcy or others..who find ways to monetize traffic.. sell names etc.. it takes time and brain to do what u do...

me I'm happy with bodis plus some domain sales..as luckily for me gods blessed me.with minimalistic needs in life.. as in..if we cannot find a way to be content with what we have and where and who we are ...then perhaps we have still long ways to learn and more money wont help us get there

but hey to each his own

we are.all on unique journey here..no better or.worse.. just unique and different.

all that counts is to discover that unique nature of ours and then to never do against it.

I know..easier said than done..but hey..nobody said itd be easy ;)

well hope it keeps clicking for ya.

I think the biggest value one click on bodis I ever got was like 20 something.. I'm happy with bodis.. in 3yrs there I made 5k..which to me is a lot.. but i got bit of a.break couple yrs back here..cause dude was.selling 20 traffic names for 800 bulk deal.. and they were making me like 1200 per year since.

and for traffic names..that's definitely a.lucky rare good buy.

cheers

Have sent you D.M. Happy to help you but please don't waste my time mate. Too many people I gave advice to in the past quit after they realised it actually takes commitment. When you really dedicate yourself to it you can make significant amount of cash money from affiliated commission. You get me? Cheers.

yep just saying if u put all those hours into domain sales
...yet results would be better.

it's all.about the effort and commitment like u say

and of course the cost of our lifestyle hahaha

You're right mate. I haven't put all that much time into domain sales. Probably 10 % trying to sell vs 90 % monetising with ads. If someone did it the other way around they MIGHT have more luck. But with ads the income is far more reliable. If you have product X costs $ 10 and your commission is 10 % then 1 sale --- $ 1. You know percentage of visits result in a sale. The last part is get traffic. Domain sales is harder to predict. That's why I choose to monetise with ads. Also mate $ 1 daily is $ 365 yearly which is a $ 350 profit on every name almost guaranteed IF you get quality traffic to your domain name. I'm weary now it's the end of the day need pizza and beer and my herb garden.

Hello,
Congratulations. How much you will charge to develop a similar website that pays regular income? I may be interested to place order with you, if you are ready.
Thank you.
Haroon

I have never thought about it mate. Probably not worth all the effort for me to develop a website and then sell it to someone unless the offer was substantially more than the monthly revenue OR I didn't have the time to keep a site updated. Only been developing for a year and making enough already. Might change in the future if a domain name monetisation expert like @biggie wants to help. (y)

Hi

bait taken!

imo.....

Always appreciate your comments @biggie but in this instance you're wrong mate. There's nothing in any of my public or private posts on Namepros which even hints that I'm promoting a service. So your opinion in this case isn't based on anything I've said. But you're entitled to your opinion. My motivation is firstly to help people and secondly to learn things myself. There MIGHT come a point where I include affiliate ads in my posts on another website. @Bravo Mod Team have already told me affiliate links aren't allowed here. So many people on this forum moan bitterly about not making money from domain names. I'm saying GET OFF YOUR ARSE and do something about it. Not you personally but anyone who actually wants to monetise his or her domain names. That's why I have very carefully described the method I use and you can go ahead and copy it today. It's so easy to develop a website now that not if you don't make money with your names then not developing them is pure laziness imo. But @biggie in a way you're actually right because I took your bait. Cheers. :xf.wink:

ok refresh me.. did u once say about 50h per week for 12k a year?

If it was 1 hr a week for 9 weeks, then that's a little over $2/hr for the work.

On the plus side, I've been doing affiliate links on my websites since the 2000s and the great thing is, if the content is worthwhile, those 9 hours of work will continue to provide year after year.

As I understood it though, Google's Panda update from 2013 (I think 2013) hurt the rankings of a lot of the microsites. I didn't really undestand it but suddenly if you had a Wordpress blog with 5 articles and links, your traffic was drying up.

I've been thinking of setting a few up in niches I am familiar with but I've been busy with other stuff and haven't really been able to play with it.

@redemo Do your blog posts have dates? I was wondering if posting articles without dates would improve rankings or if no dates would mean not being ranked at all.

People are being skeptical because you cannot provide a screen shot of proof of earnings, and proof plays a vital role of giving us authority and legitimacy. If not then people will jump into conclusion that your just promoting this great business model to get client of affiliate website/s that being mention. So you forgot to mention about the starting cost of having a website. Hosting, Domain, SSL, Theme, Plugins that needed to be paid every month or every year. I am proud of what you achieved, and here at Namepros we are family that we cherish and we praise every individuals achievement and help those who needs advice. Again proof of what you say will remove all the questions that everyone has in mind, that you are baiting to get a client here. Honestly I haven't earn much on affiliate marketing and i have no time for the quality content that needed to get your commission going. Again, if this claim is true, let me congratulate you for your success, and to those who aspire to have the same, please make sure you have time for content and marketing, or else nothing will really happen.
