I would love to see some $3.99 .com transfer-in to namesilo special with unlimited transfer-ins allowed.

We are still sorting out our .COM promo, it will be going live on Friday. Just to manage expectations a bit though, we are most likely only going to be running a registration promo this year.

We have discussed the challenges of transfer promos in the past on other threads, but in short - going down to $3.99 for transfers is quite difficult because unless the registry offers us a discount (which they are unlikely to do since it doesn't benefit them to have more domains in Registrar A coming in from other registrars), we aren't able to either. Going down below cost makes it much tougher for us to continue supporting the other parts of the business.

And while there are plenty of legitimate customers who are simply looking for an extra incentive to transfer over, most users simply transfer their domains in to benefit from the extra year and then transfer back out again once the year is up, so we are not able to ever recover the cost over the next x years that it would take of renewal orders.

Hope this clarifies the situation a bit more.

I bought a just expied domain from another domainer here at namepros, ironically, @namesilo doesn't provide auth code. So they told my friend to renew domain first to get auth code.

@namesilo can you explain why such shameful scandal still happen?

look like @namesilo you are making an effort to make friend here, but when unethical and unprofessional operations happens, how do you want us trust you and register more names with you? discount codes? meaningless.

I and my friends have decided to move all of our names away from @namesilo

this is against ICANN and my friend told me ICANN looks like not interested in hearing our report and story. I am wondering if anyone else here has similar experience. Is there corruptions btw?
