Earnings: Monetization of DD.AM is in the early stages, plans are in place to increase revenue drastically, but in January it pulled in $200 revenue.

Reason for selling: DD.AM is owned by CyberPlanet Ltd. Some of the people involved in DD.AM are no longer with CyberPlanet Ltd, and resources are delegated to other projects right now so the proper time and resources for DD.AM are not available. We hadn’t planned on putting the site up for sale publicly, but the $4,000 offer we had been negotiating fell through.

We have a $600 from WHT.

We have had two bids so far. One for $300, and one for $600 .

Our ideas for the site are very extensive, but would take huge advantage of the userbase.

The first idea of ours was to create a new homepage for the site. This homepage would be simple to use, and have just a two step signup process.

Then, the system would be made so that in order to use Cpanel or access the sitebuilder (we have details on how to get a very good cpanel integrated sitebuilder with hundreds of templates for just $6 per month) the user would have to login from the homepage. Once they are logged in, we planned on showing an ad page which is shown for a certain amount of time before they are given the option to access Cpanel/Sitebuilder or the forum.

A system like this doesn't take much to make. A simple bid on RentaCoder is all it takes. However, it would take quite a lot of supervision to ensure that it's done properly.

The second big money earner that we had in mind was to display ads on user sites.
However, with a twist. Users would be given the ad code to display. They would then have 48 hours (example) to display the ad code. A bot would be made which would crawl all sites at random times to check for the code and if the code disappears then they would have 24 hours to replace it before their site gets taken down.

This again would not be too difficult to do apart from the organisation. The money made would certain be worth it.

Just through displaying an ad page when users log in, we estimated $10CPM through intermission ads on Adbrite and popunders etc. The site with those ideas implemented could certain hit $1 per user per month.

Users do not mind displaying ads if it means a better service.
