Hello,

Found that One.com is offering a $1.99 .com registration or transfer.

Didn't test it yet.

If you did, share here please.
Good luck!

I would say it's not worth the headache! They don't even go by the actual expiration date of the domain, rather, they will bill you exorbitant prices 2 or 3 months in advance of 1-year when you transferred to them and if you don't cancel 1 month before their expiration date, you will be stuck with the outrages bill! It's really NOT worth it!

Oh and what fardomai said too - often, even when you do remove the Whois Privacy, they will put the Whois Privacy info as real Registrant Info and ask you for $20 just to change it!

If you're transferring, make sure to remove the Whois privacy before transferring anything to them

Thank you for the useful note.

Very useful insights that I didn't know, when you see that $1.99 for a .com,
you start to say:
OK, what's the catch??

Thanks again.

Total 10 per customers, that includes new ones + transfers. It's one time deal only, so if you got it before you can't get it now or in future.

Do not Transfer any domain to One.com, they will charge you this much for removing domain lock

First time I read this.. Anyone that has paid that fee for transferring away?? I have some names with them since November but they haven't charged me.. Some domainers transferred away without any issues.

I have only one domain with them and unable to unlock or get auth code.

If you're truly desperate and cannot afford a domain otherwise, use a virtual credit card or something where you can set a limit. Otherwise, I would not recommend, it's certainly not worth the headache.

I had a look on their site on Saturday because someone on here was looking for a good .io deal.

I put a test through into the basket at 9,99 then there seemed to be lots of small print *highlighted*

everywhere and I got that gut feeling of OneRAT.com

Pleased I never sent anyone their way.

@Janoss Check the later posts!
