If the perp is indeed in the U.S., they should find him/her/it soon. Otherwise,
all they can really do is defend themselves against such attacks in the future.

Well, the upside to this is no harm has come out of it.

From the comments, the ones that were lock out are more than happy with the extent of Bobs security team.

go daddy says to me to call them for solving....but i've not an english languegge so fluent for call (i live in Italy). In alternative go daddy staff said to me solving by email

Now after 3 mails they write:

The 4 digit Support PIN is a 4 number pin that would have been made up by whomever setup the account. It can be any 4 numbers you chose.

what does it mean?

I've only my old name, old password and old hint password (all eliminated now)

What have I to do?

help me!

Who helps me will have back a domain for gift!

I need my new account with my domains as soon as possible!

For verification purposes the 4 digit pin
is usually the last 4 digits of your paypal account on file
or creditcard on file that you used when you setup your account
at godaddy.

Send an email to [email protected] explaining your situation. They will ask you to email a copy of a government id like the drivers license etc..

Bigger question is how the heck could someone hack into 1000 accounts in the first place? Serious security issue.

I was one of the locked as well (and I am fom Italy too).
I gave em a call and sorted out straight away (account was unlocked and I set up a new password).
All the process took less then 10 minutes...

I guess it can happen if one's really that determined. Nothing's 100% secure,
though many businesses strive to ensure they're not compromised.

It's up to Go Daddy how to deal with this. But I'll be rather shocked if the one
who did that is indeed in the U.S.
