Because it gives you the advertiser the option to continue you’re locked in low cost advertising each month going forward without doing anything. If you choose to cancel your advertising, all you need to do is cancel the subscription and your link will be removed.
Again, 10 dollars a month gets you 1 text link on the 7 sports network sites PLUS a text link on MLBNow.com and CubsDaily.com.
To make your advertising purchase, first PM me an email address that the advertising invoice can be sent to, then follow the link in the advertising invoice to make your payment. Your advertising link will be set up immediately as soon as payment has been received.

UPDATE: I have had several requests for discounting if multiple months are ordered. I have worked it out so that you receive free months on 6 and 12 month orders. If you order 6 months - you get 5 months for $50 and the 6th month is free. If you order 12 months - you get 10 months at $100 dollars and 2 months free. The 12 month package also comes with an additional text link on MLBDaily.com which is a project being finished this week.
To sum it up:
6 month package = 5 months for $50 gets 1 extra month free for a total of 6 months.
12 month package = 10 months for $100 gets 2 extra months free for a total of 12 months and 1 additional site link on MLBDaily.com (site will be finished this week) giving you 10 links on 10 sports sites.
