discuss Do .eth Domains have a place on NamePros?

Not everyone appreciates blockchain domains. If you're into crypto, you will. The idea of these domains being used to replace the ridiculously long deposit addresses, I like that. Some suitable singular words paired in a "ETH" or "CRYPTO" are a good speculative hold, IMO. Those that believe in blockchain / Web3, will see the value more than others

.eth domains are disrupting the domain industry hence the .eth thread concealment.

.eth is Picking up momentum by the day.

Yes, very specific domains like this have strong potential. It is picking up momentum, no doubt

if you truly believed and had faith,
then wouldn't it be advantageous to you, if such threads remained concealed or hard to find?

so, i say...
go get all the best you can afford and hold until the bandwagon picks up the momentum needed,
for you to off-load your hand regs at premium prices.

don't let np be the weight that tips your scales.

It’s a totally “unregulated“ market place. Traders are purchasing global brand names in the dot extension. Once the domain hits the blockchain there‘s are zero option for the trademark holder.

The “hype“ on major social media platforms is nothing short of attempting to hold global brands at hostage.

I agree. Some of these vultures are worse than regular domainers and thats saying something Its all very speculative at this point. Time will tell.

Considering that .eth domains can be linked to domains that support DNSSEC (part of the reason why .xyz domains blew up, imo), I definitely do think they have a place.

NamePros acquired Namebase, Porkbun also began HNS domains, a lot of web browsers are beginning to come pre-shipped with decentralized domain support, and .eth has a very real use case. If you believe in IPFS, you should believe in .eth domains.

HNS, Unstoppable, and .ETH domains are probably the only "legitimate" projects that will be here to stay.

Hns domains just let you register .anything which I don’t like because some of it is foolish

Agreed, wish their implementation was better. Also don't like the idea of lifetime registrations on HNS.

So far though, .eth has been by far the most widely used.

I think .eth is used by ppl tht are dead set in eth nnonly eth . They even came up with this digits club . Behind the scenes unstoppable domains have been really onboarding new users through partnerships with different apps and more . I think it says a lot tht they reserve the names of businesses so they will not be squatted on while u have .eth ppl saying hey I grabbed your name if u don’t pay I can burn it . The ens ppl are more like a cult if you pay attention to their behavior… They feel only they can exsist . I think unstoppable domain iss the better web3 identity.

But it’s super early and companies are still looking on how to enter and still building so I guess we will see
