Former US President Donald Trump is to launch his own social network, called Truth Social.

“Trump Media & Technology Group’s mission is to create a rival to the liberal media consortium and fight back against the ‘Big Tech’ companies of Silicon Valley, which have used their unilateral power to silence opposing voices in America,” reads the statement.

(TruthSocial.com acquired from HugeDomains)

This isn't going to go anywhere, but if they were serious about it and willing to spend the money: TRU.com

Better yet: Bigle.com

Yeah, Trump must surely play Scrabble quite a bit, as i'd never even heard of the word "bigly" prior to him saying it!.. (it is a real word 'though).

This will be interesting.

Trump’s social network has 30 days to stop breaking the rules of its software license
Truth Social ripped off open-source platform Mastodon

The Software Freedom Conservancy (SFC) says former President Donald Trump’s new social network violated a free and open-source software licensing agreement by ripping off decentralized social network Mastodon. The Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) has 30 days to comply with the terms of the license before its access is terminated — forcing it to rebuild the platform or face legal action.

Here’s how a hacker was able to blow up Trump’s new free speech site
They didn't "blow up" the site, even the article you shared but probably didn't read:
acknowledged that it wasn't...
Finally, it's worth noting that we could find no evidence that someone illegally broke into the website. All the evidence available on the Internet (as of 17:00 US/Eastern on Friday 2021-10-22) indicates that the site was simply deployed live early as a test, and without proper configuration (such as pre-reserving some account names). Once discovered, people merely used the site legitimately to register accounts and use its features.

Complete nothing-burger presented as something it's not.

Nothing-burger, that's the same word used by the CEO of a registrar about their breach. Interesting.

For anyone interested, here's more info on what exactly happened before the launch.

Hackers lay claim to Donald Trump’s social app before its launch.

https://www.namepros.com/threads/epik-had-a-major-breach.1252094/page-142#post-8433852

From that post...
In exposing the innards of Truth Social ahead of its launch, hackers demonstrated that Mr. Trump’s soon-to-be-released social network had lax safeguards and left open the ability to spoof anyone, including the former president.
More tripe.

Trump is like sepsis in the political bloodstream of America.

As is clear from the previous quotes, often those that think they're fighting the good fight come off as being being more hateful/spiteful than the thing the purport to oppose.

Hateful ideologically driven people never seem to surprise me with the lengths they're willing to go to to pump up negative news stories and share/say things to make things seem like they're something they're not. It seems like the more mind bending or outrageous the article the more of kick they get out of it, it's quite disturbing.

Hateful ideologically driven people

In fact I'd like to stay away from anything political or hate speech related discussions. But I understand it is a factor. You won't see me react on that part, though. Thanks.

The name is OK I guess, nothing special. It'll serve it's purpose but it's not a term that I've ever come across before - if it's a widely known phrase I'll plead guilty to being ignorant.

If he wanted to use his last name to brand it there's an available Trump*****.com that I really really like and another "Trump" name that would've been good too.

Otherwise, just for Schlitz and guzzles, I wish it was A-OfTrump.

As difficult as I am sure it was for him, I believe that he was smart enough to realize that "TrumpAnything.com" or "AnythingTrump.com" (The first one is available) would be the kiss of death for this venture. It will be quite difficult to discern what is the real truth and not some slanted opinions. Seek truth y'all.

Oh the irony. Trump and the word "truth" is the same sentence. Clowns are gonna be clowns...

You can say the same thing about 99% of all politicians.

But is he wrong? Did the famous ambassador own trump land or did they just make accounts and post pornography?

What do you think, isn't it a problem that there are two, similar-sounding parts next to each other, in the middle of the domain name?

So you have to pronounce "th" and "s" in about the same way, and it makes a little bit harder to pronounce the whole domain name.

What do you think about this issue?

Indeed "th" and "s" are abit of a tongue-twister...apparently he has neither a syntactician nor domainer in his camp.

Why MAGA Social Media Is a Hacker’s Wet Dream

When a photo of a pig in an obscene position smothered in poop was posted to an account that appeared to belong to former President Donald Trump on his newest social media platform, it was clear that his so-called “Truth Social” had already fallen into a familiar trap.

Like Gab, Parler, and Gettr before it, Truth Social is just the latest alternative conservative social media platform to burst onto the scene and immediately bungle its debut.

[...]

Experts say that the teams behind the new crop of conservative social media apps demonstrate a critical lack of technical skills, experience in running major social media apps, and interest in or awareness of the kinds of threats that social media platforms face in keeping hackers, creeps, and terrorists from harming their users. And while Trump’s new app has yet to formally launch, security experts aren’t optimistic about how well it will fare against the dark side of the internet.
