I like exploring words, and sometimes (way more often than I should) buy names that have some meaning for me, personally. Also, for fun, I hunted for one-word dotcoms to register (not by brute force scanning), but by looking for lesser used words or adverb forms and such.
And, as should be obvious, virtually nothing worth registering is available. I got a few only for fun. I'll share them so people can enjoy! I like the first two for their meaning.

Impermanently
Inexpungible (One which cannot be destroyed)
And hold on...
Asininely (After reading why the registrant of asinine got asinine -- http://www.asinine.com/essays/asinine.html)

Note to self:
Just cause something-weird is registered by someone weird doesn't mean it was worth it in the first place. Also, even if your-something-weird is better than that something-weird, it doesn't mean you should still register it. It's like thinking if he made a big blunder, I can surely make a small one. A mistake is a mistake. A domain is either worth getting or it isn't.

Did you notice the incident like you registered a domain name, put it on sale and it was sold for a good sum within few days?

In this case, the domain name was too good to be registered.

No, if it sold quickly it was definitely right to register it. It was good enough to buy. A domain name can however be too bad to register, but that's a different story.

In NamePros, there are sharks, wolves and eager eagles are there, how come the OP is finding thousands of "too good" names yet to registered?

Can you post a small sample of, say 5-10 random domains here, so that we all'll get a taste of domains you have in store for all of us ?

As someone who combs expiring domains regularly. Maybe 10% of expired domains are worth considering most are available for a reason. I may have some names in my portfolio I see future value in that no other investors see it but it's important to have a clear plan for anything you register. Some are for my business, some are for sale and some are hold as plays on topics I see demand rising for. EV for example. When you find something available you need to be able to name at least two business concepts for the domain.

That was a lot of words for I am highly skeptical that OP found that many names worth registering. I would have a hard time finding 100 names worth registering.

many one word .com's are available for hand reg for the exact reason you mentioned

Apart from commercial values, you should consider emotional values too. With domain names, emotions are also attached like your name, city name, father name, son's name and may be others.
