Hello NamePros community! We are creating a single thread where we can share announcements in, talk about product updates, people can ask questions and host a great discussion on all things domains!

Nick, next time when members are asking questions like I did, please provide the full answer, it may save you some time in the future.

In your reply to me, you never mentioned "All payout are manually reviewed and approved by our Finance team. Please allow up to 1 week for your payout to be approved and sent".

This is the reply I got from SAV when I try to cash out the money.

Thanks!

@ChaCha Thanks for reaching out via DM and all the threads. In the future, just this Official Thread or a DM is all that is needed. For the last 36 hours we have seen a delay in processing domain updates for Centralnic TLDs (.XYZ, .BAR) due to a very large number of updates being submitted. The queue is still processing all of them and I would guess all submitted updated should complete with the next day.

The same just happened here, good domain was just approved on SH for around $9800.Bought on auction so no backorder and has been in my account for several months at least. (Correct date since 05/18/21)

Invoice: Number: 142024

Def a bit worried now about keeping or getting domains with @Nick R

Emailed support with full details: Ticket Number: 457065465

Makes me wonder what other names I lost as I purchase in bulk and due to health can't keep checking if domain random walks out of my account lol.

Double checked the Transfer page just to make sure but nothing, checked for refunds as it was mentioned in a topic about SAV, nothing :sleep:

Thе payout form has a questionnaire asking me to fill out tax data with IRS supplied templates. According to their questionnaire, I am supposed to fill out W-8BEN.

Everything is simple until I get to a step where I must select Claim of Treaty Benefits (Part II). When I select my country there (Bulgaria, since we apparently have a treaty with the US) the site advises me to fill out Form 8233. However, according to the IRS website, Form 8233 is meant for individuals who are operating in the United States. I have never stepped foot there, and I all I want to do is to receive a payout through PayPal. I have the option to leave the Claim of Treaty Benefits part empty, but I get a warning that I may be subject to 30% tax? Is this how it is supposed to be? Sorry if my questions are dumb, but employers take care of tax-related issues over here, and it's my first time encountering the American IRS. I would fill out form 8233, but most of the fields there imply that I work/live in the US. E.g., Visa number, date of entry in the US, etc.

@quakes We would recommend reaching out to a local tax professional who can give you advice for your specific situation.

Seriously Urgent!
Our domain has some sort of glitch that has reset our name servers and won't let us change them back ~ now our company's emails, site, subdomains are all offline. We are losing business by the minute. Please send help!

We submitted a ticket and can't wait a moment longer. I don't know what else to do. TIA Nick!

Here we go...all I want to do is be able to verify my domain with a "TXT" record for Afternic...should be easy, right? Ugh!

I've tried multiple times and configurations to get this to work but keep getting the error: "Code 10000: Authentication error"

Type: TXT
Name: Left blank and put "@"
Value: Pasted in my code (and yes, it's valid, I've done it dozens of times on another registrar)
Proxy: I've tried both options - Enabled/DNS

I'll tell you what...the lower cost of a few cents from my main registrar has not been worth the savings thus far. At least the other registrar's ability to quickly make changes on the fly is crazy smooth. Definitely frustrated and would appreciate some help. And please don't response with, "Open a ticket." I'm hoping someone in here could help as waiting for the snail-email to go back and forth is frustrating.

We would love to be able to take a look and see what is going on but, without a ticket we are not able to identify your Sav account or the domain name that is being configured. If you want to open a ticket with all the details then, DM me the ticket number, I would be happy to look into personally.

SAV renewed my domain 1 month prior expiration date (auto-renewal was on, unfortunately). I've created a ticket, asking for a refund - I thought that they will do it without hesitation, as the service (extending domain registration by 1 year) has not started yet. Unfortunately, that's not the case.

Support's response:

Hello Daniel,

We do state up front that Auto-Renew will be enabled automatically on our domains, and we renew domains about 30 days early to prevent users from losing their domains due to payment issues.

I’m sorry that this has inconvenienced you, but our policy is very clear that we cannot refund Renewal fees.

If you do not wish to renew a domain, we suggest turning Auto-Renew off. Renewing domains early is fairly standard practice in the industry with a few exceptions.

My apologies for the frustration this has caused you, but unfortunately we are still unable to refund you for this renewal.

"prevent users from losing their domains" - yeah, or force your own users, your clients to pay more

"our policy is very clear that we cannot refund Renewal fees" - It is not a renewal if no-one asked it. If you undo it, you won't lose any money. So your are just greedy.

"Renewing domains early is fairly standard practice in the industry with a few exceptions." - This is a practice of black-hat, fraudulent companies. Or maybe I was just lucky when I didn't experience this industry-wide standard when using relatively unknow companies like Godaddy, Dynadot, Namesilo, Namecheap, Name.com, Epik, Porkbun, Uniregistry, LCN, not even on Domain.com or Dotster! There was only one company that did a similar thing, Rebel, but after I contacted support they immediately, without hesitation, gave me a refund, no questions asked, and then they turned off auto-renewal for all my domains.

"we are still unable to refund you for this renewal" - unable to or unwilling to? Whatever, I made my decision, I'll avoid SAV at all costs.

hi,
I won a domain in the auction for more than 7 days now but the status is still on the "Pending Auth Code", how many days this step should take and what should I do if the seller never provides the auth code.
thank you.

@Nick R

Dear Sir,

I have just been charged with a backorder of a .com. My credit card agent said that the charge has gone through and I have also received an email from SAV confirming such.

However, the domain has not arrived into my account. Could you please check? (Transaction ID: 228507 / Ticket ID: #1678263247)

Thank you.

@Nick R

Although I did not get a response from the ticket, the issue had solved itself. I have got an email saying that the domain had arrived.

Probably only a technical glitch. Doesn't matter as long as the domain is with me :xf.grin:

Please ignore the previous message. Thank you.

@ceaser123 - We give sellers 7 days to provide the auth code and start the transfer before our system automatically cancels and refunds the purchase. If you still see the transfer in Pending Auth Code please submit a support ticket with the details and we can take a look.

@CK_Yau - Great to hear. Backorders can take up to a few hours to arrive in your account.

Hi @karamakate

It looks like our fraud detection is stopping some of your transitions. Our customer service team replied to your ticket with instructions to whitelist your account. As soon as you send in that information, send me a DM and I will ensure it gets processed immediately.

Urgent - please assist

I have just tried to backorder a .co domain (my 1st time doing so). Based on the price list, it would be no more than $20.75. However, I was only made aware that the cost would be $995.95 after submission.

Then, of course I tried to cancel the backorder immediately but the system did not allow me to do so.

#1949751947 Please assist. Thank you.

I think,as a new registrar, the renewal price is still too expensive.

@WhyAmIHereRN - I just looked and most tickets are replied to by our awesome Support Team the same business day they are submitted, if not within hours.

@CK_Yau - I see your ticket was replied to by Support.

@Nick R

Thank you for the reply regarding the matter.

Yes, indeed. The ticket has been kind of replied to. However, it was more or less like a copy & paste from the Q&A section. It did not address the issue or suggest how the issue could be solved.

To be more precise, there was no indication or preview when submitting an order that the cost would be very different from what showed on the price list. And it was like 10 hours away from the domain being dropped. Still, the removal from the cart was not allowed.

I am a new customer of SAV and so far I have been happily regging some .com and .net. So far things have been great. However, my first time of ordering .co was indeed a nightmare. I did not expect that the price would be like that and it was unfair that I was not given the chance to be warned of the price difference before submitting.

I hope the matter can be dealt with in a professional manner.

Thank you.
