Am not going to reveal the domain but what would be an ideal price to sell it? Thank you.

If I create a new thread and comment on my own thread every 5 min in addition to others landing and leaving comments, will I feature in 'Popular this month' on the basis of number of replies and activeness of the thread.
Just curious.. ;)

Sell it? You should buy 999 more names that make you $1000 and you'll be a millionaire.

I never sold a domain before though I was in the internet business for long (10+yrs). So I am noob here asking a noob question trying to have an idea.

Lastly I would like to say that what I wrote in the subject is the truth and have no intention of lying. And I have no intention of proving it either.

There are no stupid questions, and I think I understand your question, you are basically asking what a website that generated $1000 is worth. Such question means the domain name itself is not important and can be anything, and only revenue is relevant to the evaluation.

Here most domainers sell domains that have no developed websites, and thus only the quality of the name matters for most domainers.

To answer your question, you have to tell us the monthly profit, you mentioned that the website you have generated $1000, is that per month or per year.. etc? Also is this number net profit after expenses or just total revenue.

Regarding the evaluation of your website, you can sell at a price between 1x to 3x annual net profit depending on website quality and business risk involved. You can add to that the value of your domain if it is valuable, however if it is a hand registered domain then it will not add much to the website value.

You can try Flippa.com and get an idea. Unlike nost marketplaces, flippa.com has a seperate section for selling developed sites.

Search for domain name of your industry, the income they generate monthly, the bids they are receiving. You could price your domain accordingly.

Or else, you can try their auction ( paid auction), setting a high BIN and reserve price. See where the bidding goes upto, the final bid is mostly the price of the domain name.

If its a good amount you can accept the final bid too. Good luck

How long did it take to make 1k?
1 month?
Or 10 years?
You dont sound very serious if you say a domain made 1k, how much is it worth, without mentioning the time frame..

I was in the internet business for long (10+yrs).
You should know.

If the content is unique, not copied & if most of the traffic is organic (and less of social media) then $1k x 9 = $9k is what I'd ask for.

Again, it depends on a lot of factors. If your website platform/script is unique, or if it's based on any of the popular CMS, etc.

How many hours does one have to put in each day/week to sustain the traffic & income?

So since not most of the information is being revealed, I'd say $9k would be a good price?
