Augmented Reality (AR) domains

Last night I ignored the urge to register SpaceShipThree.com , and today the .com .net .org and .whatnot is all taken.

Today I decided to redeem myself and find another good dn investment. After a bit of investigation I discovered the huge potential of Augmented Reality: Google Trends: augmented reality . The estimated AR market size in 2014 is $732,000,000 , especially in AR marketing.

I think adverts and billboards shown as augmented reality on mobiles will become simply huge, and so I decided to get a piece of the pie, all new .com registrations:

ar+
advert
adverts
billboard
billboards
registrar

There are still a lot of possibilities available, so I thought I'd share this so you can also get a piece of the action :santa:

Snap buys another company to make AR shopping a reality

Vertebrae helps brands turn their goods into 3D assets

If people really take to AR shopping with their phones, it will make Snapchat more of a utility in the near term while also making its ads more effective, since someone’s purchases are a strong indicator of other items they’d be interested in. And looking beyond smartphones, AR shopping is more compelling in a future world when more people are potentially wearing smart glasses with displays in them, such as Snap’s latest Spectacles.

SenseTime’s AR Tech Tops 100m Daily Users

SenseTime’s AR technologies are used on social media platforms such as Weibo, Xiaohongshu, and Bilibili, among many others, to apply filters and effects to live video content.

The news comes as the Hong Kong-based AI giant hopes to earn $2 billion in fundraising from a Hong Kong initial public offering (IPO), sources told Reuters.

Wang Xiaogang, Co-Founder and Head of Research for SenseTime, told Reuters his firm’s AR technologies were popular in Southeast Asian countries like Malaysia and Thailand.

He continued, stating SenseTime would combine its AR and smart driving technologies to allow minibuses to reach level 4 autonomous driving, which requires no human drivers in most cases.

The firm’s AR technologies also display adverts and information on windows while passing through parts of a city, with many currently operating in Wuxi, eastern China, he said.

I tried regging it a long time ago but It was taken for a few years... It's a brandable that's worth a shot in my opinion. I'd hold it until the AR Renaissance begins (when Apple joins the hardware race) and see what happens...If it proves to be a dud then drop it after a 3 years, your call...

Just the start of Facebook's road to AR launching today, they will be pretty standard but they will be a starting block for the ultimate AR Eyewear -

Facebook has been developing its glasses with Ray-Ban’s parent company EssilorLuxottica for some time and earlier described it as a stepping stone toward “full augmented reality glasses.”

https://wersm.com/ray-ban-teases-launch-of-facebook-glasses/

Snapchat's Spectacles started like this, now look at their latest version, full on AR -

https://www.spectacles.com

AR will explode after Facebook and Ray-Ban launch today, although very basic, expect the next versions to integrate more and more AR exactly like SnapChat did!

Let's get the party started!

Star Atlas is an interesting project but they aren’t close to a game yet. Probably two years before it really starts rolling out and it will be incrementally developed. They’re working on a mini game to tide people over and started selling ships to raise money but that’s a long time to wait.

Solana has potential to be a leading gaming blockchain though.

Only drawback for me is thats it's catering to a small niche of the market making it just about space. I wont be apeing into buying any of the NFT's as the game's just not my bag, but the Solana Blockchain is demonstrating that its the leader in the Blockchain Gaming Space. Solana also has a decentralised naming system that will serve web3 and wallets just like Ethereum's ENS Domains.

It’s pretty clear that for modern gaming to run on blockchain, ETH or binance chain are expensive options. Many blockchain games now have an internal blockchain, or other centralized database, that connects to some other chain like binance, polygon, ethereum, etc. But if all game activity requires blockchain, and all assets are to be kept in the users’ wallets (eg cryptoblades) then right now it seems Solana or ImmutableX are the leading options for gaming.
