The subject matter of that forum is: "Do you need advice on a domain before deciding whether to purchase it? Ask here."
The forum is dedicated to members helping other members evaluate a domain asset prior to investing into one. The experience of those evaluations ranges from new members to veterans and can be hit or miss on getting any attention at all.
Opinions/experience vary greatly and there is no way to guarantee a unanimous accurate outcome.
The section may not be as popular as others, however, it does see steady visitors and participation weekly.
It's really up to the domain owner if they wish to submit a domain asset for review on a public forum to be evaluated by a group of their peers.
I see no reason for that section to be removed.
Keep in mind, for more vetted appraisals (By VIP/PRO/Gold members) in a section that is not indexed by search engines, there is always the option of using the Professional Appraisals Section in the Insiders Club.
