Some body applied for a trademark for word 'metaverse' in all possible services .Is it not a industry general word ? No one will have rights to use it as TM was advertised ?

Anyone can apply for anything, Whether the USPTO will approve it is another thing. It would be hard to demonstrate use in every category possible.

Did you find this checking applications on USPTO?

I checked in Indian Trademark registry and surprisingly registry accepted this mark and advertised for objections .

Oh so these are Indian trademarks. People should absolutely object. Hopefully someone like @jberryhill can reply.

"VIRGIN" is a well-known trademark. In fact the High Court of Delhi declared it to be a well-known mark in India in Order No.73/2005 (IPAB) Suit No. 2860/2011.

Does that mean everyone in India had to stop using the word "virgin"?

Did Zuckerberg trademarked the name "META" and "meta.com" or only the name?

.com is clearly king that's proven again!

GLTA!
