Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar and web host headquartered in San Mateo, California. The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
@Dynadot -- I am no longer seeing $6.99 at checkout...

Show attachment 196956

did the supply run out?

am I missing a promo code?

or is this a bug?

Looks like $6.99 is working again.

The promo email was sent out yesterday and remains in effect. On to more relevant topic.

Why are you making people who are logged into their own account do multiple captcha every few minutes? Nobody else does this. Your customer support told me you value securiy. You need to value your customers who will leave with repeated inconveniences. There is no reason on earth I should be forced to put in 3 codes in to get to the 4th page of my domains while logged in.

Although .COM prices are increasing, we'll continue to offer low and transparent pricing for all pricing tiers:

Regular: $9.99 /year
Bulk: $9.25 /year
Super Bulk: $8.99 /year

Please note the above prices apply to registrations, renewals, and transfers. We encourage you to take advantage of our current prices and register, renew or transfer your .COM domain names before the new prices go into effect September 1, 2021 00:00 UTC.

(recent Dyna email - quote end)

Hi

Any coupon transfer .com please

Best Regards

We're still running our $7.99 .COM transfer promotion throughout until 23:59 UTC on August 31, you would just need to enter the coupon code "COMOVER21" during the checkout process to receive the discounted price.

Marketplace could have page where user could keep track of his/her past sales in one place.
Thank you for the suggestion, I've passed this on to our team as a feature request.

Is it true that you can bypass the 60 day registrar lock at dynadot now? If so, how? does it work only for transfers or hand regs as well?
We would allow you to unlock domains within the 60-day lock period and access the authorization code, and our system doesn't block any transfer outs for unlocked domains. The central registry may still enforce the 60-day transfer lock, however, and if so we wouldn't be able to bypass that.

Just bought 5 names.

(SandMixers.com
CabinetFronts.com
MyFirstFriends.com
AllVarieties.com
AllDistance.com)

Ended up payng 8.75 each.
The 6.99 promo on NP is bogus.
I'm sorry to hear that, there was a delay with the promotion being made active for the month of August. Our orders team would be able to credit the price difference to your account for those domains, we'd just need to ask you to contact them at [email protected] regarding that.

I’m not entirely sure, but I believe there is a way to mark your outbound email of this type as “transactional email”. This way the receiving servers know that it’s related to a transaction.

I use Zoho as a platform, and we have ZohoMail as a client, ZohoCampaign for newsletters, and ZeptoMail for transactional emails.

I hope this information would provide a solution to this issue.

best regards,
Mohamed
Thank you for sharing this information, I've forwarded this on to our engineering team.

I'm sorry to hear that, you shouldn't be asked to complete the captcha more than once every 8 hours and that shouldn't be triggered by just a few page clicks. Would it be possible to PM us or contact our team at [email protected] with your username and IP address, please? We can then escalate that to our engineering team to find out why this is happening.

Dynadot could send email notifications when a listing in User auction ends - easy to forget end time.

Why your banner ads on NP show $6.99 reg. And your site is offering at higher price !?

@Dynadot, I am not receiving any emails from you since about a week now. It really hinders our management. Even my account manager hasn't replied.

I don't know if any of our domains have sold on the aftermarket, when, and when the money will come into our account, how much etc. If there's any other issue such as an UDRP or cease or desist or whatever important email, I might not be informed.

This is bad. I have several thousands of names with you.

Any ideas when email will be fixed?

Edit / Update: It seems it is a trickier issue, though probably not that hard to fix further since it has been found now. It's about your mail formatting which is a bit off, line size exceeds standards.

We've spotted it and passed info to Dynadot techs via our account manager - so hopefully it will get fixed anytime soon.

Selling domains to people who need Dynadot account for a free push/transfer. When it comes to transferring domains to another account at Dynadot, it's really not very intuitive and simple for new inexperienced users. the seller pretty much has to hold the hand of the buyer telling them how to find their "forum name". Epik and other domain registers really make it simple to transfer domains quickly. All that's needed is the new account's email or account ID # ... @Dynadot would you consider making the transfer process a little more simple for newbies to accept domain transfers?

I prefer using the forum name.
No need to change the current process.

To me, it's super easy and secure, maintains privacy.

Suggest, you bookmark following url

https://www.dynadot.com/community/help/question/find-forum-name

"
  1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
  2. Hover over your name in the top right corner.
  3. In the account drop down menu, your forum name is listed above your email address."

Sending over your email address to an anonymous party is not privacy friendly, and it might cause security issues as well.
Forum name is a good choice, no need to change it.

I'm sorry to hear of those email issues, was your account manager able to have that resolved? Please feel free to send us a DM if you are still having trouble receiving our emails.

Dynadot forwards to Afternic aren't resolving. Dynadot support tells me they are aware of the issue but don't know when it will be fixed.
We are sorry for the downtime, there was an issue with our domain forwarding servers yesterday which may have impacted your domain if it was using the forwarding service. Those issues have since been resolved and all services are working as usual currently.

Did Dynadot stop (or never started?) generating LetsEncrypt SSL certificates for domain forwarding?

Example: somedomain.com is using dynadot dns with "forwarding" (or "domain forwarding" configuration setup alone). If somedomain.com is requested via https, the forwarding server responds with:

Server certificate:
subject: CN=*.dynadot.com
start date: Jul 24 13:41:35 2021 GMT
expire date: Aug 25 13:41:35 2022 GMT
subjectAltName does not match somedomain.com
SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name 'somedomain.com'
stopped the pause stream!

Domains using the marketplace lander (they are also forwarded and DynaDot dns is used) are not affected though.

If there is something that prevents Dynadot from applying ssl to custom domain forwarding, then the server should at least stop responding to https requests at all...

I really like you guys and still have a few hundred domains with you.... PLEASE don't let what happen to Epik happen to you guys. Please run a few audits and security checks.

Take Care.
