Not my sale, but NameBio shows a DAN sale for NFTBAY(.com) at $30,000 on Aug 23, 2021. (y)

NFTBAY could possibly be used to sell NFTs for many times more than the price of the domain... We have to stop under selling our domains and demand more respect from the end user. This is robbery. This is not how the offline real estate industry works, but we've been surpressed down by desperate domainers willing to make a quick buck. It's annoying. After commission and taxes the seller is left with almost half the sale price, depending on the country and marketplace.

These people launching marketplaces are investing hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars in development. They can afford more for NFTBAY. That's a BIG name that just undersold....like NFTDEX

Nick Johnson, lead developer at the Ethereum Name Service (ENS), talks about making Ethereum human-readable, why Budweiser purchased an NFT, how purchasing an ENS works, and more.

Show highlights:

what ENS does and why it is important

why Budweiser bought “beer.eth”

how ENS names can be used to make Ethereum easier to use

what business use cases ENS names make possible

how people are using their ENS names

why people are purchasing ENS names

what privacy issues arise from people attaching their name to an ETH address

Can NFTY be used in place of NFT? As seeing many names with NFTY word in it, some are leading sites in NFT sector...

How would healing work as an nft?
How would "Cure" work as an nft? Because I can remember someone report the sales of "NftCure.com"

Got a $25K offer on one of my NFT names last Monday.

I countered with $40,000 and the buyer agreed to pay after about half an hour or so. However, he never showed up again to complete the purchase. Dunno if he got cold feet or was a fake to start with?

@NameFu You seem to be very particular about aggressively pricing NFT names. Can I message you to seek your advice on 'correctly' pricing that domain, if you don't mind?

I can give my personal opinion but I'm not a "pro" yet. So much if this is subjective and depends on the buyer. I have controversial opinions that some people disagree with as well, including my opinions on pricing. But if you'd like my cautious take on the nane feel free to shoot me a DM.

For now, I won't advise any domainer to shoot to the moon on nft domain names cos most nft start-ups are picking up any available extensions instead of .com to begin with, probably come for your name in future.
So if you shoot to the moon, they will just work away and register Dot anything to start with.

We are still very early in the nft space, so things might change later

I am watching the NFT space. The more I look into this, the more I am convinced that this will be a big growth opportunity. I have been interested in developing business models ever since my old domaining days when I saw my business model advice being taken seriously. I am developing a business model that NFTs appear to be a great way of keeping the costs down low in order to keep a strong base of intellectual property. I have been wanting to launch a new business model for more than a decade and I am very excited about how cost effective NFTs are in keeping a strong IP base to a business at a low cost.
