and it opens doors to a new and different kind of domaining market, some of my hand regged COMs that I've been sitting on for 15 , 20 years could be a way to go.

Yes, it would have to function like that with a corresponding wallet address next to the owner contact.
Unless the registries can come up with something to help in that area.
