Nice one! Light Pay in com recently sold at GD auction. Suppose the buyer wanted the co as well. But anything with "pay" at the end will do well for the next years.

Bought 3-21-2017 for $9 closeout plus registration, total $17.50
4 renewals: $34
total cost: $51.50
Sold $1888 - $377.60 afternic charge = $1510.40
4.5 years of holding for for 29x return.
Buyer clicked BIN, no outbound or negotiations. Landers were at Dan

2021 has been a very slow year for me. Every sale that I have had has been a domain that I debated dropping at the next renewal. I updated prices on my domains just yesterday. This one did not get updated, but I had it notated to figure out a clearance price when I had a chance. Luckily, I was lazy about it and didn't make the update. It gives me hope because I know I have much better domains, but also tells me I don't know what the f*ck I'm doing if my least favorite domains are getting all of the traction, at least this year.

b/o/o/k/v/i/p .us

Sale Price: $100
Venue: Afternic
Price: $2.50 reg fee
Hold Time: 6 months or so

I changed the lander from Dan to Afternic and next day name sold (at the same time as changing lander I also dropped price to $100 from $250). There are a handful of sites that have bookvip in them for the .com, could have waited for $250, but 40x on a .us that can now be used to register better names is a trade-off I am willing to take.

Afternic BIN, hold time 9 months. Drop reg.

Note: A bit undersold, this is definitely worth 1k+ but I'm clearing most orgs and this wasn't my favorite, though alright. Anyway I'm okay with the price.

sold nftstips. com for $500 on Afternic

Hand-registered 5 months ago after seeing clubhouse room named nfts.tips getting over 200+ people in the room daily
Tried to give them the domain for free but they never replied back.
Domain was getting type-in traffic making $5/month from bodis
Average joes don’t know about these new gtlds like .tips so they just type in the whole domain with dot com leaking traffic to my domain

Did you maintain the same BIN price throughout?
Thanks.
Did you maintain the same BIN price throughout?
Thanks.

Nope. I always increased price. The more I increase the price, the faster they sell

This started at $750.

In the last year I doubled or tripled my prices on all domains except clearance. And I plan to increase further.

I never make assumptions and test everything. Assumptions will eat you. Fixed ideas over time become wrong.

Afternic BIN, drop reg.

Hold time 1 year + 1 month.

Time and time again we see so many sales right after we hold for 1 year.

How many sales we all have lost due to dumping a name after one year, we will never know...

True.

I tend to no longer dump .coms after 1 year except if I am 100% sure they are wrong reg. It's a bad mistake.

Usually in the first couple months after renewal a ton will sell. I don't do this wilth all domains but only with single-words and .coms.

Reason is, there's always someone waiting for it to expire. But then when they see you renewed it, they give up hope and many will put the money on the table cause there's no point to wait anymore.

how many visits you had for this name?
I don't know exactly, but i'd say it averaged just 5-10 a month over the 4 years I had it. I can see why people would look for domains with high type-in traffic, but in the case of business names and given how google search works now, I don't see lack of type-in as an indicator of much.

Did you start at $750 and increase it once or twice or were you increasing periodically with smaller increments?

About 3 steps if I recall correctly.

Not really smaller increments.
