so my phone will die soon. samsung galaxy j3..2017

nice small..reliable.. liked it.

I switched to phone only a year ago..was always laptop desktop for me... despite some cons on all above... in the end i personally find absolutely nothing beats convenience of carrying whole world in pocket with fone..vs backpack for laptop etc... so I'm sticking with phone.

any one there in know how and domaining on phone too can recommend something good.. not too pricey... good battery life.. maybe bit bigger than my j3..????

is a tablet with calling option and sim card a good choice..they are not many on market for good reason I guess... tnx

Looking forward to next generation of voice and sensory controlled smart glasses for hands free domaining. I'm pretty sure that our resident chatroom high octane pure breed domainers like @Daniel Owens @noneisnone and @Reddstagg will be wearing them.

Well just moved to Gibraltar a few weeks ago missed my first flight and in the big hurry i left my laptop home.. so for a good while now all i have is my phone, which is great, but sometimes whenever im copy-pasting larger amount of data, 5k row normally it laggs the phone a bity even though it has 8gigs of ram. I just bought a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard its a big plus to have. But in a long term I'm getting a laptop soon, since I'm worried my eyessight will worsen.. i have a OnePlus 7 Great phone but its nit the same as an uktra thin laptop. if i was to stick to phone only get the foldable 2nd gen folding Samsung they're pricey enough but might be the best option out there now for your needs

Switched to a Samsung 32A 5G last week and pretty happy with it so far. I never spend much on a phone as my day job is pretty harsh on them but for £210 I can't fault it.

I don't know why but it makes me cringe so hard when I hear people talking to their tech (which is actually pretty rare). Makes me laugh cos I remember when handsfree kits first came out for mobile phones and thinking "wow a lot of insane people around talking to themselves" lol.

If the technology continues to develop there will probably come a point where your smartglasses will connect directly to your brain and you'll be able to think a domain name transaction into reality. Remote assassination or brain information theft will become far more of a threat. For a phone all I can say is avoid Apple and use Android. Much less restrictive but probably not as high definition. @alcy If you choose a tablet and plan to go off grid think about the battery capacity mAh and the most compact solar device to charge it with.

How about the J5?
Really would like the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, but would have to sell my car :)
Have you looked at Huawei P20 or P30?

@alcy If you haven't got a mountain of cash to splash how about better than a tablet would be a second hand smartphone $ 100 with warranty and a new slim laptop $ 500 with warranty. Some laptops you can either disconnect the screen from the keyboard or fold the back to the screen so it touches the underneath of the keyboard. If it's a touchscreen you've got a tablet as well as a laptop. For me phone and laptop combo does the job but a tablet would be very useful for backup device. Probably get one in the winter sales. What are your daily general uses for the device/s?

Try Samsung Note 20 Ultra. You'll love it. The S-Pen is an advantage on its own.

nice.. didnt think of it..i wonder how much better its with mouse on phone.. not sure what's worst on the eyes..laptops are nasty too..but hey..at least on phone u wont get that wrist injury syndrome.. that's good. I remember it hurting me from mouse...no more with phone

my j3 samsung is rock solid.. got used to it.
but I'm sure there is better hehehe

I use google sheets for domains... its cloud based
... totally manageable with phone..after getting used to it..

really..carry.the world..
domains..internet..in my pocket.. vs laptop or desktop... to me it's a no brainer winner.. phone :)

I have a Huawei P30 PRO, which is 2 and a half years old and still does it's job, don't want to change it. Bought my wife an OPPO Reno 5 5G, which I see that it behaves nicely in apps and games.

I have an s21 ultra and love it. But if you're looking for something nice for a reasonable price, consider an earlier model like the Galaxy Note 10 $400-$500. Great and smooth for doing work on the go and the stylus is very useful with that beautiful large screen. Easy to use excel and do all kind of domaining or office work on.

I question how much more efficient a mouse would be than my fingers on phone.
however the one thing I do miss is bigger keyboard for typing... typing on phone is..well..laborious

I suppose they got everything now..including keyboard for phone....
anyone actually using that when u are more stationary with your phone..at home etc...

how works it? bluetooth..? micro usb?

I'm supposed to be a tech expert by education and profession..and in many ways I am...but believe or not I've never used bluetooth anything yet ...crazy huh
