Hey,

I was wondering about sending emails to companies to sell my domain, do you think that they read emails like this? or they may be interested? I read here that people are doing it. For people who are doing it, can you give me tips and advice please.

Thanks!

From my perspective, you have nothing to lose. Even if you fail generate some leads, you gain experience. You spend your valuable time and effort to let them know for something they may need. Just don't forget to be selective when you choose companies to approach and don't sell trademarked names.

It depends what you sell. You have a chance doing outbound with Geo names. Offering MusicSchoolChicago (just example) to actual Chicago music schools might work occasionally. Offering MusicSchool to related schools around the world - 1000 times better.
But if your name has nothing to do with potential customers - forget the idea. You will piss off a lot of people who will mark your mails as spam.
And never offer any brandables like this - that's a 120% waste of time.
Good Luck!
