Interesting he says he has buyer's remorse and that he overpaid.

Paid way too much. Who (end user) is going to buy that for $104k+ ?

I think a dog groomers association could be a possible client, but just regular dog groomers ? No way.

This will get bought buy somebody in the domain business with more money to waste than what Drew had.

The buyer will have to do a lot of grooming. Congrats. Depending on the exact neighborhood, owner, and type of dog, of course.

That means he’s a human being.
Not a billionaire. And objective, still an asset.
Oh and .com always #1!! Now and forever. Take solace didnt pay 6-figures for a non-com

Thanks for sharing his immediate reaction lol.
Still waiting for same reply from Alcove buyer, another one, think, final price was an overpay, with caveat: Good luck all,we all want success!

I am honestly surprised given that a mix of Dog which ends in letter G then Groomers that start with it would be that valuable. They should buy DoGroomers.com too.

The name could be used for a B2B startup, catering to dog grooming businesses, not a dog grooming service itself. In that case, good buy.

Just like the cat sitting and dog walking portals developed by another domainer, you probably mean.

I was thinking business-in-a-box, but a web portal works too.

Interesting too. Let's hope the buyer will get some inspiration from this thread, and will not regret.

I don't think the buyer necessarily paid too much. I think a domain is worth what a buyer is willing to pay. When I think about dog grooming, I think it has good potential to be a winner. It's a memorable EMD that with proper development and marketing, a business behind it, could be a profitable winner. He should probably even try to trademark it. :)

Overpaid!!! and most probably the site will be used for dog directory-very limited use

How come the seller is not confirming the sale?

He did, hours ago on twitter. And the buyer is a developer who has built other one word domains in profitable sites.

Probably a bit much but has major potential as a brandable. If he builds a B2B business on it will easily make 30-50 times that.

It's the opposite of a brandable, it's a pure EMD.. but could still work.

IMO

In fact, the previous owner had a developed site on this domain for over 10 years, with the same business model as the new owner has in mind. The website 'retired' this March 2021. Only the domain has been sold in this transaction, why not the domain + website and all of the existing clients accumulated over a period of 10 years?
