How old were you when you started investing?

Invest in anything. Stock market? Bank? Domain?

I am now 33 years old and have been investing in domain names for 15 years,and I started investing in crypto currencies the year before last.And you?

I started investing my 1st stock in 1985, Walmart
Walmart products at that time were all Made in USA and I bought shoes and clothes---all Made in USA, damn they were good quality products and lasted for more than 8 yrs.
Well, now you know the story where the products come from.
I even saw Sam Walton when I was shopping in Tulsa OK.
My coworker's wife was working as a clerk in their HQ, Bentonville and got stock option---and
now you know the rest of the story.

I am 37 . I started investing just 3 months back in domains !!!
I really thought this is a get-rich-quick scheme, then I saw the countless daily bumps to sell 10$ names.

(Not counting negligible bank deposits)

2008 I started investing at 23 , 1999 I had a webdesigning firm but never knew about domaining untill my friend told me, one his domain sold for $1000 at sedo.

2007ish.. after realizing I couldn't truly own my content on social media nor control the design, got off the internet for a few years.

2011.. decided to teach myself website design and self-hosting. Hand registered my first domain name to put it all on.

2011.. after seeing my site in action with it's very own domain name, I thought "Hey, I wonder if I can make that any shorter?" as at 12 characters seemed a bit lengthy.

2011.. f* me, there's a whole world of domain names.

2011.. opened an account at Ebay, sold my first DN.

At the age of 18 years (2008), I registered my 1st domain udayraj.com.

In 2011 I registered about 10 domains at GoDaddy and flipped them at eBay within 2 weeks.

So I was 21 when I started domaining and today I am 31.

I started investing in the stockmarket at 16. Though even before that I'd dabbled in phonecards (in their infancy) and collectibles. I remember back in 1999/2000 discussing on a stock forum the possibility of investing in domain names (though none of us really knew it was a 'thing'). One of the guys was going to target the defence sector. I often think of how much he would have made if he stayed in it (I don't know if he did as we lost contact). At the time I had no spare capital for something that seemed a real long-shot. I registered domains and did a bunch of web/IT stuff over the next 20 years, but didn't get into domaining until 3 or 4 years ago. Now I'm 44. Where did the time go?.........

I have been collecting or investing in something since my teens.

I started buying and selling things on eBay when I was in high school like sports cards, DVDs, collectibles, toys, etc. It was pretty much whatever I thought I could turn a profit on.

Then I got interested in the stock market. It was many years later I started seriously investing in domain names.
