Meanwhile in most countries polled, people make a stark distinction between Biden and Trump as world leaders. Nearly eight-in-ten Germans (78%) have confidence in Biden to do the right thing in world affairs; a year ago, just 10% said this about Trump. Similar differences are found in Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands, and in all nations where a trend is available from 2020 there is a difference of at least 40 percentage points.

And, really... who cares? They are even less informed about America than Americans. In most cases their media parrots the same crap the US media does, but they don't have the advantage of being able to see anything first-hand, so they swallow all of it.

The whole "other countries are laughing at us" sounds like a 10-year-old's whine. I would say the same thing to Americans as I would say to that 10 year old: Grow a pair. Take care of yourself, do what's right, and stop worrying about what others think - because they don't know you or care about you. Nobody ever found success by worrying about what others think of them."

I have always disliked handshaking. Shaking 20, 30 or more hands in a day during flu season always seems nuts. But there are ready alternatives. There's bowing, but that's a bit awkward. I would prefer the very nice Thai-style hands clasped together. I thought we might go that way, but some idiot came up with the elbow bump. Same people who voted for Biden I guess.

I wouldn't exactly say that other countries are any less informed than most Americans about US, just that they can see outside the box. As an educated observer, it's not that difficult to understand what's going on right now. You say that other countries are laughing at US? In fact, most people used to laugh at Trump, he was the biggest joke (and still is). Unfortunately that orange pied piper led you down a very dangerous path, and by so doing, the pendulum swung the other way. I would say to those Trumpers still holding a candle to and defending him: GROW A PAIR, and get over it. He lost! He doesn't give a sh*t about you. He just wants you to think and do what he tells you to do. Agreed, nobody found success by worrying about what others think of them, otherwise why would I still be here, regardless of what the trumpuppets say about me. They just don't like to hear the truth - it hurts their tender egos.

Does no good to outside the box unless you can also see inside the box. In most cases, they can't see either. They swallow what their media tells them.

See my previous post: "who cares." Also see my previous sentence.

Yes, but Biden and Harris love us like a father and mother. Let's pray to them, shall we? People really need to grow up and stop thinking their government loves them. Do you believe the stripper really likes you, too?

Agreed, most people are informed by what they read or are told. That's usually the way people learn. How many people do you know that believe themselves to be self-taught and self-directed? I know a few, they've been my mentors. Yet I don't follow them to the ends of the earth, nor would I be correct in saying that I walk my own path, rather, I make my own trail.

The laughing stock turned president (thanks to foreign intervention), then loser (thanks to himself), has been a danger to what used to be American democracy and to the country (but who cares, right?). Trump stretched the limits of his office so far that he created a new rulebook for Autocrats (overstepping presidential authority, issuing excessive executive orders without congressional approval etc,) manipulating the DOJ, new rules for elections and blantant media storms...he carved a path for other smarter and more convincing dictators to follow.

Who pulls your chain? Some so-called billionaire populist tycoon that supports globalist corporate mergers? I guess that makes me unpopular with the Trump crowd, eh? Don't you know that those toxins (and hormones) you regularly put in and on your body affect your sperm count? I would have some remedies for you, (but that would be like mental masturbation). I run my own small business and support independent entrepreneurs ...have a unicorn cupcake, lol.

Those are your opinions, not facts. Anybody who steps outside that box you speak of is usually laughed at. And you really aren't going to follow that "Russia did it" line, are you? I thought you didn't like getting laughed at?

has been a danger to what used to be American democracy and to the country (but who cares, right?)

A bigger danger now than ever. And you are right, too many Americans don't care. They'd rather talk about that laughing stock loser they can't get out of their heads.

Trump stretched the limits of his office so far that he created a new rulebook for Autocrats (overstepping presidential authority, issuing excessive executive orders without congressional approval etc,) manipulating the DOJ, new rules for elections and blantant media storms...

Funny you say this, because these exactly describe what the Dems have been doing. Throw in manipulation of the CIA and IRS as well. When we are so far apart on the facts, I can't see what good a discussion would do here.

Fact is, Russia did intervene. What part of that don't you get? We can look at facts and arrive at our own conclusions. Whether or not there was collusion leading to impeachment is another matter.

A bigger danger now than ever. And you are right, too many Americans don't care. They'd rather talk about that laughing stock loser they can't get out of their heads.

He could disappear quietly like other former presidents, but since he still has his hat in the ring, he's still fair game, right? Though it's highly unlikely he'll ever regain the office of president. You don't buy that 'August thingy' do you?

No doubt they pull strings (even Trump blamed Bush for 911, but then lied about it, lol)

...I'm not supporting Dems, but because of the bipartisan divide (since you really only have two choices of parties to vote for), just happens by default. "Clowns on the left of me, jokers on the right...I'm stuck in the middle with you" :xf.wink:

And Hiroshi Satoshi, my neighbor, intervened by making Facebook posts too. This is too ridiculous to even discuss.

The US has literally intervened in foreign elections for over a century by sending in spies, weapons, troops and fomenting revolution. Billions of dollars and 1000s of lives invested in screwing up elections in sovereign nations. This is a central tenet of their foreign policy.

Little Russia makes some Facebook posts and grown men and women in the US are crying "Vladimir made me do it!" It's pathetic. Honestly. It's so pathetic, I feel no need to point out that it's absurdly hypocritical as well.

Like I have said before; it's like the 100 kg bully who runs crying "he hit me" when one of his 70 kg victims harmlessly slaps back at him. Pathetic... did I say that already?

Good point, US foreign policy is all about propaganda. Why is it so difficult then to believe that former USSR KGB intelligence wouldn't have the same tricks up their sleeves? I could paint you a very likely scenario, but that would be exhausting and mostly just a waste of time.

Just because this is a thread about politics and I voice my opinion, unless you are saying Americans are so gullible that they are not able to think for themselves, hardly makes for hypocrisy. Afterall, isn't your platform all about freedom of speech? Is this forum (and thread) the exclusive property anyone or any political persuasion? If so, that would definitely indicate intolerance and a sense of social dominance, highly indicative of the alt-right. Minimalizing and even ignoring contradictory information is also a clear pattern of thought associated with those people supporting prejudiced views.

It's not, but that's why posted a weight difference in the bully metaphor. In terms of money and resources, the USA is 500kg to Russia's 20kg. There is no comarison in power, money and coercive influence. Remember Russia even has to use US dollars in trade, the US isn't forced to use rubles.

Minimalizing and even ignoring contradictory information is also a clear pattern of thought associated with those people supporting prejudiced views

Yes I agree. Progressives and the Woke are awful that way. Not as bad as the repeating of what they know to be lies though.

You are welcone to your opinion, it just seemed to me that you were presenting it as fact. Sometines we need clarification.

And so far as the silly "Putin is a killer" meme, I thing some people need the speech given to naive Sansa Stark here:

Earlier I provided specific International polls conducted by PEW Research, not my opinions, but factual research based on public approval ratings.

Country Specific Methodology

If I were constantly providing pro-Biden information, you could say that I was biased toward Democrats. My opinion is that Trump is not a true Republican, prove me wrong...I'm all ears. :xf.wink:

I was referring to you calling him a laughing stock and loser. I already addressed how I felt about the polls.

He's not a true anything - he flies by the seat of his pants. But he was the best either party could come up with. Still is. Most of those criminals are not true Democrats or Republicans, bit true grifters. The handful of politicians that offer real substance are kept far from the seats of power and often slandered by their own party (Gabbard).

I would gather that most US voters don't care about party affiliation, so who cares if Trump is a "true" Republican? It's the parties that have been destroying the country. Trump was an outsider, not part of the clique of crooks who run the country. That's why people voted for him. I am honestly still surprised that so many on the left don't get that. Even now.

That has been my observation, anytime I mention his name, which is rare (outside this forum). Essentially I ignore him, unless I need a good laugh.

He is a true something, a grifter, if nothing else. Otherwise I would consider him a true Globalist

He is a product of borderless capitalism, has raised money from investors in a dozen countries (besides USA) and sold his trademark empire name to developers around the world. Interests and resources can’t be constrained by national boundaries (ergo GLOBALIST agenda). Trump the builder knows that, even if he (and his brainwashed fanboys can't admit it) and pretends that he isn’t. Who can deny that corporate USA isn't a worldwide globalized machine - with American interests clearly the course, commanded and crewed like a ship of arrogant fools.

America is sick ATM, and I'm not just referring to Covid... the divide is a sickening symptom that will rip America apart at the seams unless the people can come to their senses. It's truly a test of democracy.
