Hello.

Acquiring fine matching domain names is good ...but you still need to look fancy on social medias like LinkedIn , Instagram and Twitter . Having a perfect username matching to your business is great also and easy to avoid scammers and protect your consumers.

When you go to twitter.com/business you will reach the Bloomberg page. But business.com the domain is a property of BuyerZone.com, LLC , Centerfield Media Holdings, LLC . .they have the Twitter username twitter.com/businessdotcom how sad.

But you can claim a username in social media by submitting your brand identity and Trademark details. Sometimes it's not possible because of someone registered it before you.you cannot win a battle there. You have to satisfy yourself with a long unmatched username.

If you have anything related to any social media username stories let me know in comments.

I'm sure you don't lose any sleep over it and neither do they.

It's social media..it's not domain market.if someone claims your username with a proper trademark , your account will be vanished in seconds.
