This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Afternic BIN, hold time 1.5 months. Drop reg.

Some sales notes: Given the fact that it sold so quick, I might have undersold it. (Edit: but no regrets on this one)

Also I'm getting some momentum on 4-fig sales lately, while silence on xxx range.

But I've declined 3 x 4-fig offers in the last 24 hours (1k+ while I want $2K...5K to mid xxxx on the names) . Side note the offers came via landers, not via Afternic or Sedo networks. At least for me, lander sales tend to be less frequent but higher in $$$ compared with both networks.

GPU//deals.com (sold in April)
Free//Vaccines.org (my first covid-19 related sale, sold in May)
Glamping//spot.com (sold in April)
xl///defi.com (sold 30 minutes ago)
n/f/t/r/o.com (my first NFT sale...I think it undersold, also sold 30 minutes ago)

All sold for $101 each via Afternic fast transfer. Handreg 6-9 months ago at Dynadot for 10 bucks.

It's not much but it will give me capital to renew my other domain names.

I always follow your posts and they are very inspiring. I analyzed the domain for some metrics and can see it does not have any Search volume, does not have other Tlds taken, Does not show any type in traffic, and does not have any seo value(RD), so can you please throw some light re what you saw in this domain to register it? Thanks

Great domains sell through the value of the name, not the metrics. That's what I see - the domain being used as a great name for a business.

I never check any metrics.

Ok Thanks,
But that way isn't BB or SH a better place to list branded domains and not afternic(which should be for domains with metrics)? As a beginner I'm trying to study hard but still have some confusions, hope you can understand..

Brandable marketplaces are much overrated in my opinion. I don't like their terms so I don't use them anymore. Also too many listed names, high noise vs signal.

Afternic, Sedo and your own landers can sell brandables just fine. You need to pay more attention to discussions on NP.

Stats are no indication a name will actually sell. Relying soley on stats is just as foolish as never investigating stats. Many factors come into play. Only ones who care about stats more than the domain name are domainers imo.

I'm doing some discounts currently so I've just reduced price for this and it sold right away. Happy with this amount. (Expecting more sales next...)

I could however never tie this exactly to a specific niche and not particularly fond of it, but it sounds like a good name.
