yes dot net, but if it relates to a nonprofit organization dot org or some kind of official gov or edu site.

I suggest your register popular key in .xyz extension
And hold on it for another couple of years. Just my opinion, do your research.

Disagree. I've got about 100 .xyz, mostly keywords bought at $0.99 Nov. last year.
Got 13 offers in six months.
Refuse to sell, holding on them till another year.
