.co names are hardly below $100. Whatever was good is either a premium name or has already been scooped up. In that context, do you think .co will die its own death?

Or is there a way this extension would revive or stay the way it was meant to be?

Sorry, I forgot, who buys .co? Is it an alternative to .COM, only shorter and hence the popularity?

Bitcoins and cryptos are taking all the money invested online nowadays

Even the dot com prices are affected

.co is good product in a Bad market

Before most ads ( how to make money online from websites )

Now most ads ( buy cryptos and fly to the sky )

It is very boring over here because I don't play the cryptos :cigar::grumpy:

.co is a country domain but nowadays many companies use .co for the company names.

Of course not. Comparing ccTLD's with gTLD's is like comparing apples and oranges.

.co became very popular among SMEs, capitals, funds, other financial orgs, startups, tech companies etc.
.com will always be the king, but if it's too expensive, and .io is not acceptable, then the next logical choice is .co.

.Co as their tagline says " It's a Com without an M", During my searches on google for anything, I hardly come across a .biz or .xyz.

.COM still dominates the Internet, followed by .net and .org.

But nowadays, I see websites using .CO, They are Ranked on Search engines above .COM in some cases.

Check out clutch.co and goodfirm.co

They are Doing Great.

OP is zealous, makes most threads, but this is one of his better ones.

Yes it’s “poor man’s .com” wit 2x renewal cost, and lucky to have 1/2 .com’s brand recognition

Saying “the next .biz” is a little extreme
I see the new ngtlds more likely be “next .biz”

.net is outdated.
.com #1
.co #2

.co is here to stay, wont be another .biz.
.biz was nonsense from the start, not usable.

Was .biz meant to be business like bizzness. Im not mocking I really dont know.

“outdated”? Lol.
Cant spell internet without network.
Their biggest mistake is 2x renewal for true #2 (both them, actually, but im more partial to net)

I just checked, it was meant to be for businesses.
Again, doomed from the start, not usable, not professional.

Good keywords have value.
For the rest, when regging a 2 word company name thats taken in .com, people will go .co over .net.

.co will be more successful than .biz. I suspect it's success will be a little bit less than the success of .net and .org, but still nowhere near .com.

.xyz and .biz aren't in the same league as .co imho

Xyz and biz look ridiculously unprofessional. :playful:

.co looks nice, but they are a dangerous choice for a business.

.co domains look and sound so similar to the dominant extension of .com that your customers, partners and even your own employees will keep typing in .com automatically. What is worse, they'll be sending emails to .com which could include sensitive info. And it could lead to loss of lots of business if you don't receive orders, requests, proposals etc., or loss of reputation, if people assume that you are ignoring them and not responding.

.co is the extension that when you setup a shopify store they ask "did you mean .com?"

"I dunno, maybe I did, can you help me buy it please Shopify?"

Comparing .co to .biz is like comparing 1 U.S. and A. dollar to 1 Zimbabwean dollar

So combined all time reported sales of .co are 1/3 of the sale of a single dotcom (voice.com)?
