Hi,

I am not feeling ok without sales, my average sales in April total around mid xxx, meantime I spent much more on domain registrations because the domain addiction.

Currently listed around 100 dotcoms with bin $10 but they are are not selling.. . Is it only for me or not?

Please respond only real domainers with portfolios, do not respond affiliated registrar users and marketplace promoters (i do not belive in your reported cctld, new gtld sales for $xx,xxx...). I know what is marketing and understand your sales tactics.

#domainaddiction #domainbusiness

#domaininvesting is not really #investing because you can't liquidate your domains for reg-fee.

I don't want to discourage you but the truth is approx. 95% names are crap.
I would advise you go with the trend. Some words in domain names are in trend now. These are:

cloud
green
host
design
data
robot
herb and many others.

Try to grab some domain names from expired domain list based on the trending keywords....the domain should be meaningful, short, easy-to-understand. At first, please focus on only .com extension.

And, why are you not using a landing page of popular market place such as Dan, Afternic, Sedo etc.?
cloud robot design? really? i think you a bit an outdated.. read the tech news

Hello good members,

First thank you for your honest and professional opinions.

This thread is showing how many worst people in Community and some people are really great with thier honest views and feedback.

Regarding this thread. I am a founder and owner of ReallyBigIdea.com I was on a vacation when this thread was created by my partner in business. He is tried to liquidate my domains for damn cheap because he is out from business. I had also lost access into my core gmail account that's why I have had no access into my Namepros account for the last week. Currently my Gmail account is restored and now only me is operating my domains.

I have a successful domain business low five figures for three months since 2021: $6,485 gross through Afternic (Paul or Joe can proof, if it needs), high-mid $xxx through Epik marketplace, mid $xxx through Dynadot marketplace and low $x,xxx direct sales. I love domains.

This thread is closed.

Thank you and sorry.

I'm reading through this thread. I just finished page 2 so apologies if this point has been covered already.

You got a nice brand name with Really Big Idea. Stick with it and try some outbound with it.

The website needs a bit of work. I don't mind having the list of names.
But an explanation of what you do, why people should buy through you and what positioning your names can/have achieved for buyers could help validate your credibility- and thus your domains credibility.

On that same issue, I would personally remove all the low prices.
Buyers are weird, they see a low price and they may move away from a domain name thinking if it is available at a certain price then why hasn't anyone else got it. Maybe it is not a good name therfore. Domain investors are even weirder, they won't pay that money to you for the same reason, but will easily hand it over to Dropcatch, Godaddy, Namjet etc when it expires. Then they will also complain about HugeDomains and unknown proxy bidders :D.

About the domains themselves. Alot are not great. Not a problem. Alot of mine were, are and will be not great too. I would not renew most of them, bar those you think can fetch atleast 4-figure value, up to the limit of your means.

But even great names take time. Maybe a chance to think about your business model. Ungrabbed for example are selling average names (with respect) daily. So there might be a niche if you can find it.

But don't focus on the quick bucks unless you got the names that can be bought with the big bucks and the connections to move them easily.

Are your domains listed on reallybigidea.com?

Sorry mate, these aren't good domains. And when buyers see these low prices, then they will think that these are cheap domains, therefore these domains are not good enough. Because if the domains were quality ones, then the prices would be higher (like in the $1500 - $2500 range).

And your landing pages are very low quality. Why don't you use better landing pages, for example check out dan.com (9% commission) or alter.com (10% commission).

Don't use a gmail address, unprofessional.

How to buy a domain name from you, where is the "buy now" button?

Where is your privacy policy? I see that you have one, but that is not a valid privacy policy. I wouldn't share my private data with you, therefore I wouldn't buy from you.

If you want to see examples of quality domains, then please take a look at these marketplaces:

Alter.com (the "premium" category)
Squadhelp.com
Brandbucket.com

Multiple personality account, you figure? As for join dates, really irrelevant.
You only been here 6 months, i am 25x that, so when you get stars under your username then you can trash talk join the pro forum dates. Did you fire your partner? And i thought you were going to close this popcorn thread awhile ago. You dont seem to have lost interest in domaining.

In your original post you wrote: "Please respond only real domainers with portfolios, do not respond affiliated registrar users and marketplace promoters"

As far as I understand, you are seeking advice here. The thread is still not closed, so everyone can still reply. I am a domainer with portfolio, not affiliated registrar or marketplace. Where do you see the badge that I am an affiliated registrar or marketplace?

I see that you are seeking advice, but every time someone wants to help you out, instead of thanking that person for help, you attack everyone who tries to give you advice. You attack even long-time reputable members, not cool. You should stop your trash talk behavior ASAP.

No, I am not a guru, far from it. You haven't mentioned that only gurus are allowed to post.

What is "atler.com"? It is not my domain.

I only have a single account. Again, you attack everyone here who posted real advice. Now you are not just attacking me, but you are even defaming me, falsely claiming that I have multiple accounts, without any evidence.

I don't have time to debate with you, back to work.

@Charybdis the person who wrote first post wasnt @reallybigidea, it was his partner. Or was it? Redemo, you wont make hard cold cash reading popcorn threads like this. Get along, we all used to until about 5 years ago, then the wheels fell off. Unfortunately the heated debate became the normal around here
