I came across this, found it somewhat amusing and thought I'd share it.

I've been seeing this ad (can be seen on youtube with /watch?v=0C-YMHd-_SI) on a movie streaming service lately and thought brbbot.com might be a good name to register if Charmin didn't already grab it.

Well, it was just registered on the 10th and forwards to Cottenelle.com.

Looks like Charmin dropped the ball and Cottenelle picked it up.

I suspect given the registrant organization and the default nameservers that another punter has picked it up and just redirected it to their competitor. Amusing, but not really because it could lead to trouble.

I'd concentrate on getting names that you know don't interfere with other people's brands instead of trying to get ones that do.

That advert really explifies the level to which advertising standards have fallen in the last 20 years.

reminds me in late 90s/early 2000 when i used to register any name that matches businesses that advertised in the newspaper/TV Ads

and yeah sold none of them and dropped the majority of them
