XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

There have been plenty of decent sales already. You should read through this thread and the ar/vr/xr/mr thread. Also, some were not reported like the *apparent* sale of XRA.org. Just because it's not verified on Namebio doesn't mean it's not substantial.

Thanks, but this is a long thread and I have little time - run a software company, volunteer in medicine, and family.

Would be great to see a list of XR___.com & ___XR.COM sales and w/ evidence of use of XR (extended reality) for the domain.

I started building AR apps and technologies in 2014, and I registered dozens of premium key word XR domains. I turned them all over to a top domain broker firm yesterday with an exclusive agreement, as my time is so limited, like most people these days.

Augmented reality is poised to boom; let's see if xr branding also has an uptick.

BTW I have 12 XR___.COM names.... 12 ____XR.COM domains and one ___XR.IO

Which are fetching higher sales? ___XR.COM or XR___.COM?

I think the truth is it all depends on each specific end users preference.

I tend to personally prefer XR + Keyword myself but so far I have had probably more sales in VR & XR where the acronym as been at the end.

For example I did own both:

XR Metaverse (.com)

&

Metaverse XR (.com)

This week I sold Metaverse XR (.com) because that was the preference of the buyer I guess.

I got an inquiry for a keywordvr, sold him a complete set of 6 domains with ar, vr, xr. Another sale was keywordvr and I had the longtail he didn’t want. Later I acquired the vrkeyword.

From an informational standpoint, there’s nothing earth shattering in this article. However, my reason for sharing is the exposure. Business Insider is mainstream media outlet. As XR becomes more mainstream, our names become more in demand. Love the exposure.

As an owner of a large Xr collection i sleep easy at night with the growth of xr . Covid proved that work from home and entertainment changes from movies cinemas to home streaming boom will see the xr industry massive . Do i believe xr is there now hell no still a long way to go but happy with where we are at .

agree... streamxr.com or xrstream.com are top ones...up there with xrhealth.com, healthxr.com, and xr w/key words such as shop, wear, game, bet, pay, play, med, and more...and anything to do with view, vision, watch, vision, sight, glance, look....

2022: after apple, snap, FB, microsoft, amazon, samsung release products that catch on, XR will become more omnipresent
2025 poised to become tne year for massive adoption of AR/VR offerings...based on what I'm hearing...

I don't have the amount of names @xr reality holds but still something

My best out of the 59are probably these names (some are shared) but some others are great as well and its all about preference

imo, i'd say health, touch, crypto are your best. some super names.
i'm seeing more sites/companies using xr for branding.

we'll see if branding companies, who make 500 k and up for a naming assignments, start recommending xr for their clients.

I worked for a branding company part-time while in grad school. Our clients were ONLY pharma, and they paid the branding company a minimum of 500 k, to come up with the names of meds they planned to launch.

If the big naming companies start suggesting XR for products, companies, the prices of great xr domains will skyrocket.
