I've been holding onto this for a while for a project that never took off.

Estibot seems to think its worth $3k but no idea how accurate that is these days (I assume not very).

What is your inspiration behind this domain? Strangely...I do like it

It was originally going to be a brand for a web agency but other things came up so never got used in the end. I like it as a name, feels pretty brandable...I've just not got anything to use it for right now!

The combination of a simple colour, with a simple shape...it works. Another example: blackcircle.com...unusual, but a solid domain. Simple, memorable, and above all intriguing

For the domain purplecube.com, I appraise this high hundreds, to low thousands

I agree, definetely. It's a great brandable name. If you are willing to wait couple years I'd go $2000-2500, if not, then $1000-1200.
One strategy could be to go brandable with BrandPa, but only with them (no BB or SquadHelp), cause BP allow selling elsewhere, and that's what you need. Cause of clear words, clients may dig it well thru Afternic or Sedo, and that's what you need (apart selling brand+logo with BrandPa).

Good Luck!

Sorry, actually Alter.com allows their brandable names to be listed anywhere else. You can try them too.

Domains ending in "cube" are solid brands. I use one myself. :)

They have also put up decent sales. These are .com ending in "cube".

173 Total Sales
$243.2k Dollar Volume
$1,406 Average Price

I am sure all the popular colors are taken in this format.

This is the type of format that could sell for $10k tomorrow or never get a serious offer.

As @bmugford says, but it's coupled with "purple", which is also great word. There's a thread on which colours work best here: https://www.namepros.com/blog/how-color-domain-names-are-used.1140331/

The two words are in the correct order, too, so I think that could push the combination on the dotcom up to something over $25k.

If it were mine I'd try for around $40k myself and add on enough to cover commission etc. on any of the popular landers. Or keep them all the same and add a straight 20% across the board if using Afternic and/or Sedo. Bear in mind that commission is charged on the final amount so you'd get $40k if you listed at $50k.

It should have great appeal for a quality marketing, PR or advertising agency among other sectors.
