I would agree, but we are probably not thinking of the same people.

Does it really matter? Same difference, 'political birds' of a feather flock together. The cycle continues...

In the bigger picture? No. But most politics is taking place in the smaller frame, fighting over incremental differences. By design, it keeps people from stepping back and looking at the bigger picture. That said, I find the Woke fascist movement to be truly terrifying. And in a way that the media wants us to view the Maga movement.

Larger picture, the whole system is rotten. I'd be happy to keep the focus on that, but we keep drifting to the smaller squabbles. At this point, I can't see anything except a downward spiral for the US in my lifetime. And when something that big falls, you don't want to be anywhere near it. (That certainly includes Canada.)

Maybe you can be like that family they discovered in a remote part of Siberia who hadn't had contact with the outside world for 50 or 60 years. There were places you could live there and wait out the entire Russian revolution, the 2nd World War and Communism. Most of those places are cold, which probably helps.

I've tried to distance myself as much as possible. I love the North and the freedom it offers. I enjoy both rural and urban landscapes, but those landscapes are also changing dramatically. I'm fortunate to have done my fair share of travelling abroad, and experienced different cultures. I still maintain property in more settled parts, yet there are certain regions of Canada that I would never consider settling. I still hold on to hope for the US and would visit again, but not likely in the near future. I'll wait out the storm for a few more years 'til the dust settles.

Not far off from actual reality.

Locking down provinces with FEARx campaign to push for vaccination and covid passports while evidence shows some of the lowest intensive care unit utilization in years.

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/a...ital-bed-and-icu-utilization-at-five-year-low

RCMP doing check stops to make sure you don't travel outside your region
https://westernstandardonline.com/2021/05/bc-rcmp-release-covid-check-stop-locations-for-weekend/

The only thing that haven't been used yet is the Military, although emergency plans for that have been leaked and its use in the vaccination program was in the plans.

Introduced quarantine hotels

Introduced and is trying to pass Bill C-10 that would effectively give the Canadian government the power to control what Canadians view online

Tried to influence the Attorney General of Canada - Justice Minister and when that failed, demoted her and replaced with someone who will not follow the law.

Prosecuted the second in command of the Canadian Navy, charges eventually dropped due to lack of evidence.

Proudly declares Canada a post-national country.

Yes, Trudeau and the Liberal party are a curse on Canada

Since Trudeau thinks White Canadians are an unpleasant and replaceable relic, maybe he should start off with replacing himself and leave the country. I just pray he doesn't come to Europe... we've already got too many jackasses like him here!

This guy is a thug himself, but he is right. While the US persecutes Assange for the crime of being a journalist they have no moral authority to talk about treatment of journalists in other countries.

Where is Greta?
Good thing Biden rejoined the Paris Accord. Giving away billions of American taxpayers’ dollars is sure to solve this problem

Curious, are you free to carry a firearm with you on your snowmobile excursions ??

Most definitely, just use common sense and show respect, nobody's going to tell you what you can or cannot do, heck, don't even need a snowmobile permit. :xf.wink: Snow is melting, ice almost gone...time to go by boat (100K interconnected lakes - God's Hwy).
