I think more divorces happen because people spent too much time together than too little. Just talk to a few divorce lawyers and ask them how business has been because of the lockdowns.

Domaining can save your relationship. Looking over big lists everyday gives your significant other some breathing room.

I think you make some sense, of course all things are unique. But when I was real young like 19 I worked for a brokerage firm and there would be these men who were in their late 70's and 80's. They were wealthy. I would ask why come to work?

They would all hit kind of the same note, "I don't want to get divorced, I love my wife but if we are around one another 24 hours a day, she going to kill me or divorce me. This way I come into the office I get to see young pretty girls from a far, I get a free lunch and it gives me something to do. Retire and stay at home and you will die quicker sometimes much faster."

Another guy would just say breathing room, my wife has her stuff, I got mine, I don't want to golf, she does, and she doesn't want to hear me talk about stocks and bonds.

That's really too bad. A 27 year marriage is nothing to scoff at. Especially at the multi-billionaire level.

Personally, wish I was at home more. Love every minute with my wife, always have. 25 years this year.
