Here you go, fear-mongers, peddlers, used car salesmen and attention-seekers: This thread is just for you!

Yes, you! You know who you are.. peddling your crap, injecting your agenda into every post or thread whenever possible, or showing up here every few months pretending to contribute to the domain investing community.

What about you too? The one's whom title threads with WARNING! etc etc only it turns out to be an inconsequential event that didn't turn out in your favor, thus by golly you better warn us all!

And of course, let's not forget about how .com is DEAD and the next big one is right around the corner..

My special little headliners, I repeat: This thread is just for you! Use it well and quit wasting our time with your silly crap elsewhere, because guess what?

~ WE SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOU ~

examples welcome:

"Only .com! (because that's all I own)"
".Top is Top (I will keep posting it even though I just did)"
"Did you get rich? (oh wait, neither did I)"
"Thousands .Online (I'm not a hoarder but everyone else is)"
"Warning Warning (something didn't turn out in my favour)"
".com is DEAD! (and I have proof :-/)"

Get to it! Let's poop on each others BS!

Hehe.. oh definitely, you Brits say it like it is, we Cads apologize for apologizing.. drives me nuts actually, till realized I do it too.

Well what the h** is the difference?? Sorry. :P
It's about perception, we book an appointment to see a doctor, people don't think they are booking a doctor.......

We book a cab, we book a reservation at a restaurant or the cinema.......we don't book a doctor to discuss personal health issues, we book an appointment with them......and the dentist to consult on the issues....

For me it's a big difference......or another way......

You book a clown for for your kid's birthday, you don't book a doctor to discuss a suspicious lump.....

Oh em gee.. that's messed up. The suspicious lump. Exactly why I booked an appointment. With the doc, not the clown. Next thing I know, I'm at the doctor's office, and some clown is cutting into the lump and draining it..

(joking aside, they were pretty awesome, and I was very grateful for the procedure)
(but still, booked my doctor..)

Thanks. Bought it at Dynadot aftermarket. If you don't mind me asking, how much do you think it's worth?
Rey...since you told me you bought it at Dynadot's aftermarket, can I assume you paid more than .99 cents for it? This said, you unfortunately may never sell it. First, BookDoctor.com has been registered for over 20 years, and it's never sold or even turned into a website regardless of pricing.

I happen to own 3,000 .online domains, and to keep it simple I'm coming up with a BIN price for standard .online domains of around $799, and select .online domains for around $1,299. Essentially, this is what I think they're worth to the right buyer.

I see where your domain is listed at DAN without a price, but unless DAN is somehow able to drive traffic your way, I doubt it will sell at any price.

Good Luck my friend, and I wish I had something more definitive for you.

Nick...don't take this too personal, but I own VisitWales.online to give to you if you ever want it. And as you recall I also own SuicidePrevention.online in case you or your sister ever want it?

Thanks. Actually got it for a dollar.
Don't ever buy a name just because it's cheap. That's a good way to get stuck holding a whole bunch of names that won't sell.

The poster before me owns 3,000 .online names that were bought for a dollar each. Zero sales.

Good to see you did buy it for just a buck making the risk vs. reward potential that much better. Even though you may not have checked it out beforehand, it "appears" that you do own a popular term (left of the dot) with the "best available" extension .online. Remember I said "appears", meaning that's my professional opinion.

The biggest problem as I see it is not that your domain sucks, but rather that it won't get any exposure unless you either do it yourself, or find someone/broker who can give it the exposure it needs and deserves.

Thanks. Now I know what to do.

Good luck to you then. To give you another example of how I see the .online extension playing out. I recently (an hour ago) bought the domain CarFind.xxxxxx for a dollar. Left of the dot CarFind has just 7 letters, and "Find Car Online" makes way more sense than "Find Car Com". Much to the chagrin of the oldtimers everywhere, CarFind.com doesn't even lead to a website:xf.rolleyes:

Neither does carfind.online, or stkitts.online.... :banghead:

Also Boston Herald that own carfind.com have a trademark for "CARFIND" for "providing interactive automobile classified advertising services via on-line communications networks".

Thanks MadAboutDomains:xf.smile:You might want to notify the Boston Herald that I own boatfind.xxxxx and homefind.xxxxx too. Am I in trouble:xf.rolleyes:

Seriously, they're pretty good names and probably worth fighting for. What do you think, defund the police:xf.wink:

Given that the same company also have the trademark for 'homefind' for "Providing interactive classified advertising services for commercial, residential and vacation real estate properties via on-line communications networks", yeah its a pretty bad move... https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=75553873&caseType=SERIAL_NO

An easy UDRP win.

Really I wish you well but you shouldn't do things like this, it does neither you, or the industry any favours. PS. it's not the police that you want to worry about, it's the lawyers.

I suggest you read up a little about UDRP and "Bad Faith". I never do anything in "Bad Faith" thus there's no lawyer on planet earth that worries me. You don't know why, how or if I intend to use these domains. You can only assume, and you know what they say about assumptions:xf.rolleyes:

So you're going to create a sausage company on carfind.[ext]? The trademark makes it pretty difficult to use the domain for what makes it worth anything at all, which is the problem.

lol....for someone who's been around this business for 20 years you sure aren't very creative:xf.rolleyes:

Regarding CarFind.com....having been in the collection and auto repossession business in my youth, do you have any idea how many cars/autos go missing (can't find) every year, and the value of that collateral?

With regards to HomeFind.com.....regardless of what you think of me, are you aware of the "homeless" problem not just in America, but around the world? Have you ever been homeless?
Wish you could find a home?

Falsely accusing me of "Bad Faith" is just one of the many problems with this industry....disgusting:xf.frown:

Both of those ideas would infringe the trademarks in question.

How is that new heights? It's lower than it's highest ever.

Re the trademarks and ideas: You came up with one idea to do with selling cars and another for finding a home. I don't really understand how you think that the ideas don't infringe the trademarks.

As I've said I wish you well, but my sausages idea is at least something that would prevent you from infringing on them.
