So, does this work? I've just listed a name with Dan with a BIN of £295,000. I like the name, and I don't really want to sell it, but I will honour the offer if somebody claims it. What effect do you think this has on my image as a seller? Will buyers think that I live in cloud-cuckoo-land, or will it help to get a better price for my other names?

I like the name,

If buyer also likes the name and price, it will be sold. Either way you win.

It will help all other sellers who price in a lower range, after looking at £295,000 something like $5,000 suddenly does not feel expensive.

If that's the price it would take to get the domain from you, that's a good listing. I see no problem.

I use this technique all the time.

E.g. This is how I sell a couple together:

- InterledgerFoundation.com

- OraclesNetwork.com

- Superannuation.com (*The anchor)

- OpenMainnet.com

- SpecialisedBank.com

* $100 each (not Superannuation) or $300 for all of them.
