Hi guys, would BabyWeddingDress.com be worth anything?

thanks!

Why do you say that? It has 1900 searches per month, and look at all the ads that pop up when you google it.
And other domains with "wedding dress" in the URL sold for good money.

Do babies really get married? Because that's exactly the weird picture that pops up in my head when you hear such names. And this association is no good.

1.Its too long

2. 3 worded domains aren't preferred

3. Baby Wedding Dress, sounds like a baby is getting married

4. TopWeddingDress.com managed to get $25, and if I "had" to choose between the two, id rather choose "top", which got $25...which indicates in my eyes yours would go for less, such as a reg fee

No but people buy wedding dresses for babies. Just google the term. It's nothing but ads when you search for "baby wedding dress". People searching for it are obviously looking to buy a dress for their baby to attend someones wedding.

And there are thousands of people searching for wedding dresses for their baby. Just do some keyword research on it..

Thanks!

Thanks for your replies. I'm going to let the all the ad's for the keyword speak for itself. If the keyword wasn't valuable there wouldn't be so many ads for the keyword.

Thanks for the input guys!

The ads are targeting “wedding dress” not “baby wedding dress”.

No because ads with babies in dresses come up. And look at the google keyword tool search volume for "baby wedding dress" it's 1900. And the CPC is 0.55. People are paying for these ads and every one of those 1900 people searching are looking to buy a dress for their baby.

Too specific. It is not a primary domain that you are going to build a website on.

At best, it is a very small subset of wedding dresses.

The mistake you make here is that you look at CPC and search volume as primary factors. You should never do this in domaining. These are only side, supportive factors.
@Doughnut is very much right. Also to add, three word domains are good only if the ''niche'' word is extremely competitive: studio, design, pay etc. With such words it is hard to get a solid 2 words combination (if hand-reg). Then some 3 word options are still OK (sometimes you can sell them). Apart from that concentrate on 2 words.
Speaking of wedding dresses I am sure you can still find some good 2 words combination, but without this weird association with kids. Nicer, shorter, striking name.

Do you guys really think the 1900 people that are searching for "baby wedding dress" are looking to marry off their baby? I'm shocked that experienced marketers, or anyone for that matter would think this.

i said before and i will say it again
if you are not willing to listen don't ask for appraisal if you have your mind set on something and you don't want to hear otherwise just don't ask for an appraisal it is simple.

My rule of thumb:

If I look up a term in quotation marks in Google, and Alibaba is on the first page of the results, then I will not register the domain. This is the case with "Baby Wedding Dress". Sorry.

@luckyJJ

Apparently, the name has a lot of value to you personally. If you're so enthusiastic about this topic, I suggest that you develop the domain yourself. But please think about your opportunity costs as well.

It doesn't have any value to me other than I'd like to sell it for a profit. Just put "Baby Wedding Dress" into google. Then check out all the ads for that exact term. Then go to the Amazon product being shown and look at the reviews for that dress... There's over 2000 and most of them bought the dress for their BABY to attend a wedding.

I'm no genius marketer obviously. I found this domain just looking for new domains to flip.

But if people are buying ads for this term, and thousands of people each month are searching for this (buyers) keyword, and thousands on amazon have bought one of the products they are running an ad for, it tells me this is a profitable niche, and I just may build a site in this niche and rack up on affiliate commissions..

Thanks for all the input guys, but I just have to trust what my eyes tell me.. This is a winning niche!

LOL. Why even bother asking for an appraisal if you are not interested in feedback?

Interesting. What's the domain worth, in your opinion?

@luckyJJ

Put some faith in those that have been there before you. It'll help you become a better domainer. People are trying to help.

Saying that, I think it's worth very low $xxx to the right buyer, as you need to niche right down nowadays.

@Aaron Allison not even that lets be brutally honest considering op doesn't want to hear it anyway
your name will probably never sell and if it does it will go for xx if your lucky
good luck.

I agree that it'll likely not sell. But having built many affiliate websites over the years, I know the depths people go to, to find a niche. You'd be suprised lol

So you asked for appraisals and pov's on the domain, yet you have no interest in hearing views you don't agree with. What is/was the point in asking for appraisals then if you knew you would only want to hear what you want to hear and nothing else?? ...good grief. :xf.rolleyes:

Thanks for your replies. I'm going to let the all the ad's for the keyword speak for itself. If the keyword wasn't valuable there wouldn't be so many ads for the keyword.

I appreciate the opinions, but with what I know about marketing I just disagree with them. I mean no disrespect :)

You disagree with us, so that means you know the price.

I asked earlier: what do you think it's worth?

I don't know what it's worth. I think based on the ads being run for that exact keyword term, the search volume and just looking at what's been sold. There are thousands of people buying these products.

I just think the domain is worth more than what some here believe. It's just a matter of opinion.

I'm willing to take offers in my message box if anyone would like to buy it.

If I don't sell it I will just build an affiliate site around it. I mean look at the prices of these dresses. Some are selling for hundreds of dollars.

And someone above said they would never buy a domain with a term that Alibaba ranks for. Alibaba is one of the richest stores on the planet. If they are in the baby dress industry, that can't be a bad thing.
