discuss Regarding an Afternic Sale

Hi,
I sold a domain on Afternic on Friday ( not fast-transfer ). the transfer was manual and it was completed in 3 hours since the domain was purchased. Afternic has the domain on Godaddy.

I did not receive any email since, did not even receive an email that the domain was successfully transferred but in the dashboard on afternic it shows as "transfer complete"

When should they send the payment? I have never sold a domain that isn't fast-transfer on Afternic so I'm wondering why I did not receive any email yet.

I sold a non-fast-transfer .ii domain a week ago, the transfer was completed within a couple hours from Dynadot, then Afternic sent me funds in just three days. I didn’t even know they can do that so fast

They did send me an email titled “Your domain transfer for domainname.io is complete”, though

Oh wow, three days. Isn't it like 14-15 days with fast transfer?

Anyway, yeah. this is weird. I did not receive any email since the sale email. and it shows this

I messaged them on Friday waiting for a response... weird

Yes, with fast transfer I usually experience the same — one to two weeks of waiting. Imagine my surprise

Can you update your post to remove the domain name I accidentally included in the email title?

Afternic is notorious for not sending me emails when I receive a price request. I therefore have to log into Afternic each day to check for price request.

I've had an non-fast transfer Afternic sale show transfer complete within a very short amount of time, too. And just like your situation, the payout date stayed non-scheduled for at least a week until the domain finally did transfer.

But you are likely good and there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Consider calling them up to confirm. They'll likely say the domain is still transferring and the payout date will be updated once the domain transfers.

Payment wil be received usually after one week .

Did this happen to you too? I see this now on Afternic. it changed to pending sale but it also says est payout is at 23 April. written there that I need to wait before transferring but it was already transferred.

No, these days its 3 days after transfer, I read somewhere that they changed payment processing.

Ive never encountered the "pending buyer approval" page.
But estimated payout dates are usually accurate once transfer is complete.

Nope. In my case everything went smoothly as I’ve described above. And I have never experienced such issues at Afternic, luckily...

I should note I don’t monitor messages in their dashboard too often, so even if there were any new messages after I submitted the auth code I wouldn’t notice.
