London, UK. April, 04 2021—Adding to recent positive developments for blockchain and cryptocurrency project Centric, Chief Executive Officer Joel Clelland, announced today the company acquired the top-level domain, Centric.com.

Calling the news “phenomenal,” Clelland said the six-figure deal closed on Saturday, after several days of private negotiations. The domain will direct to Centric’s website next week.

Centric Foundation kept a close eye on the domain since the project’s inception. Until now, the price tag prevented the team from taking action.

Clelland called the acquisition “an important investment in the Centric brand and identity.” Those who learn about the project will naturally look for Centric.com, and now they will now land in the right place. Search engines will also be more likely to direct Centric seekers to the official website.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
... the company acquired the top-level domain, Centric.com.
Technically viewed, it's not a top-level domain, it's a 2 - level domain name (or a 3 - level domain name if the "www" is added) that includes the domain "com" as top-level domain (TLD).

And literally viewed, the (top-level) domain "com" is, even it's used as TLD, not top either.

Apart from these points, I of course wish all the best to all.

Please, Disregard this spam.

Nothing beats .com

Nothing.

Props to the Centric Foundation -Centric.com
I take them lot more seriously, now.

Nothing I wrote is wrong (in case you don't know, there is indeed a technical difference between a domain, a domain name and a top-level domain).

Apart from that, my post has nothing to do with spam (I recommend you to inform yourself about what "spam" is) before making such an accusation.

That said, you can safely disregard your own post (as (probably just emotional) nonsense).

For a better understanding, literally / semantically viewed, "top" (no matter if used as a TLD or not) beats "com(mercial)" (and every other term (and also no matter if used as a TLD or not)) pretty clear because top means top while com doesn't mean top (a dictionary may help in case you don't believe it).

It's just a linguistic / semantic circumstance that I'm not responsible for and it's .comical that you attack me for it.

They acquired (centric) .com TLD instead of (centric) .org TLD , that's the point. The question was; to stay on .org or just move to .com. Rebranding from centricgroup.org to centric .com

Regards

Yes, I got the point.

My point on the other side was that the original wording
("... acquired the top-level domain, Centric.com.") is technically incorrect (it should be "... acquired the domain name Centric.com."), albeit not dramatically - but since domaining is what I do, I find it worthy of pointing out if I notice such a detail.

Regardless of that, I would also prefer the .com over the .org (but I would prefer the .top over the .com).
