Hello NamePros community! We are creating a single thread where we can share announcements in, talk about product updates, people can ask questions and host a great discussion on all things domains!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The mistery deepens:

"The Transfer of the following domain has failed

Domain name is: ****

Transfer Fail Reason: Transfer was cancelled or rejected."

xyz?

Update, it appears that my serial problem with one domain buy has been resolved and will be receiving a refund. Haven't checked for monies yet, but will monitor the account in the next days.

This is the pro response I expected and a good decision from Sav.

Thanks @Nick R

@Nick R now 2.5 days and no response from your support team to my ticket 391413872. DNS still not updating.

@Nick R 3 days after submitting a ticket I get this:
We have been having some issues with certain tlds. We are currently looking into this issue.

Your request has been escalated to a Subject Matter Expert within Sav who will take a deeper look into the request. Typically within two business days they will reply back with an update or a resolution to the ticket directly. Thanks for your patience as we work to resolve your request.
Do you consider that acceptable, please?

How long should it take for a domain purchased via Sav marketplace BIN lander to show up in my account?

@Nick R I'm DM'ing my ticket number.

@Brandworthy - I have responded back to your DM.

@cbd - It depends on if the domain was already at Sav or if has to be transferred in by the seller. I responded to your DM as well.

We are currently about 2.5 - 3 days out in ticket replies at the moment. We are usually at 1-2 business days for a reply and are working as fast as we can to get back to that response time.

Anyone else faced issues about submitting request for "Removing Locks from Domains Purchased on the Marketplace" through the website ticket system?

On 12-04-21, I submitted a request through the website ticket system for removing locks for some domains and it showed Ticket submitted successfully. As I did not receive any response in 2 days, I checked and found out that I actually did not receive any ticket no in my email (which I did not notice at the time of submitting the request). Thinking that it is a mistake of some sort at my end, I submitted a request again on 15-04-21 in the website, but did not find any ticket no in my mail either. I repeated once again, but all the same.

@Nick R FaiIing to submit a Ticket through the website, I have sent a mail to support @ sav.com and sent you a DM with the details. Will appreciate your assistance in this for quicker resolutions.

@Brandworthy - I have responded back to your DM.

Your PMs condescending tone is well noted, but your lack of concern about YOUR DNS tools not updating any of the almost 200 names in my account shows a complete lack of care for your customers, and by extension your business. My ticket clearly stated that your system has failed to update the DNS, so I cannot change from SAV nameservers. I also cannot change the current nameservers. These are all set at the REGISTRAR level. REGISTRAR == SAV.com in case you forgot?

Honestly, if your skin is this thin you're in the wrong business.

@Nick R 5 days and I'm still unable to change the DNS settings via My Domains. The message says this may take a few minutes, but the registrar DNS never updates. I provided an example name in the ticket since I was asked, but made it clear that I cannot update any DNS in my account. The example name was rectified, but the underlying issue still persists. That suggests that your support staff are not reading tickets, but skimming. They may have no choice, but as a customer it's not acceptable to have no control over domains registered at your company.

@Nick R 6 days now, and counting. New names are being set to sav.com DNS despite my settings having alternative DNS servers saved. Attempts to update the DNS settings in My Account still do nothing.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you still with this registrar? I mean the ability to change your dns on the fly is basically a must, it is not some minor bug for couple of hours. This could be critical to the operation of an existing website.

I suspect they have no customers other than domainers who can tolerate the bugs in their system. I started using them because they are the cheapest by far for .IO backorders by far, and I was willing to give them a chance. But you are quite right - the inability to provide fundamental features to customers makes it very difficult to justify being a customer. I expect I'm stuck here until renewals come around, although I'll pony up for transfers if I need to.

Thank you all for sharing your issues, sorry your having them. Save me trouble. on a brighter note, their still 4.5 stars at trust pilot

A few months ago, when Sav.com talked about problematic upgrades to their backend system, I expected the problems to be temporary. But they have been going on for months now and it seems as if each individual case must be resolved with a personal ticket and that otherwise nothing happens.

@Brandworthy - I responded to your DM and will let our Support Team handle it from here.

@darkniight - We do have your ticket to lift the locks and should be reviewing the lock removal request within the next day or so.

Announcement: Afternic Fast Transfer is now fully enabled for all eligible Sav domains! Afternic has reached out to all customers with domains previously list to opt-into Fast Transfer. Please refer to this article on how to enable it for new domains and details on eligibility: https://help.sav.com/kb/en/article/enabling-afternic-fast-transfer-for-your-domain

@Nick R Day 8 of dealing with your support staff who seem either utterly clueless or utterly carefree about your customers issues. Day 8 of not being able to update the DNS set at registrar level. Has your company no shame?

Let me spell it out for you - no matter what changes I try to make via https://www.sav.com/domain_manager_v2/my_domains to the DNS saved in your system, none are applied to the domains in my account. This is entirely due to bugs somewhere between your application layer and the registry. This is not something I can control. At this stage I'm getting nowhere, so I'm going to start looking into ICAAN compliance and the folks at NIC to see if they can create a headache for you.

In the interest of fairness, I can report some changes now appearing for names in my account based on DNS I requested yesterday. However, new names won at auction are still using default sav.com DNS despite my settings. I've now tried a bulk update on all names in my account to check whether this bug has actually been fixed, or somebody just went in and did a handjob on my names.

•••
A further 6 hours later, the bulk updates to DNS within My Domains admin panel are still not reflecting on my domains. This suggests that the changes that did happen overnight were indeed a handjob.

I remain unable to update the DNS settings at the registrar level. Pretty unbelievable bug for a registrar to have, but there you have it.

Hey @Brandworthy - We have replied to your ticket and DMs but are not able to find any issues based on the details we are given. Please reply back to the ticket with the specifics requested so we can see what is going on. As of now, it looks like all of your Nameserver changes have processed as expected. Please note that NS changes can take from a few hours to a day to take effect - that may be where the confusion lies.

I have replied tot he ticket and provided the specific NS changes submitted. Those changes still don't get applied. My latest request for DNS changes was submitted around 24 hours ago I believe.

My account also shows a notification that 6 domains are pending transfer. They are not. But I was able to see the list of names using the legacy transfer view - all 6 names are already in my account. Unsure if this just another bug in your system, or might be related to the DNS issue I'm experiencing.

Now 9 days since ticket first opened.
