Congrats on the sale.

These kind of names are worth much more but each with his own tactic.

According to google cache this was also available on sale for under $20 on dynadot on April 3rd

Did they approach you out of the blue, this agency?

How would you price it and what your your pitch be for your pricing. Just so everybody can learn.

No doubt, a great name, and I would also price it at 20-30K as it has a Green appeal, taking care of Carbon footprint. Also perhaps more industrial use as there are many industries around various types of Carbon, but I need to look up more.

What is your first impression on the name

For me, it would be unpriced as the industry is evolving,

CarbonCare is one of those great brand names that can be mid xx,xxx and up to low 6 figures.

Right buyer, right time and a good and patient seller (IMO)

On the other hand he can sell now for 10k, put it in crypto and might make more so who am i to judge.

$20 is a hook, risky to play but it worked. I do that often. Removed from DD/NP listing and waiting for the buyer. Agent contacted via email. Each name is ready for sale. Extensive PDF presentation contains tons of info and data, current market share, consumers behavior etc.
The pricing is based on the data collection and prospects movement (investment, rebrand signs etc). Not going to explain it.
Thx to the front runners , plenty of trying to screw the names, this one was offered for a $55k. Stupid game.

Regards

Congratulations you are getting sales everyday.. it looks like Afternic loves you or Godaddy brokers actively promoting your domains..

Possibly. Domains are reasonably priced and I think if you got a lucky streak it's keeping you up at least for a while. (Edit: this is my theory but unproven yet.)

Backorder Captured on Feb 8th
Sold on Feb 20th for $900. Had to wait for 60 day lock and just got paid.
I had a BIN of 2495 but offer came in at 350 and "he" negotiated me down to 900 due to godaddy appraisal lol

While saying no must be cool and all, but I still like the Endorphin Rush of every sale, even if it is only 200 bucks.

americus org.png

Sold at afternic through BIN on April 12th, 2021.

Sold for $888 with $178 fees. Received $710

Bought 4/8/2018 at GoDaddy expired auctions for $21 including registration. About $34 in renewals for total cost of $55.
Hold time about 3 years for almost 13x return.

I have a rough idea why I bought this in the first place, but I thought about dropping it every year. The name is OK, and even OK with org if someone did something America and Us based. Anyway, glad I kept it, but can't say I didn't want to dump it.

No negotiation. They clicked BIN.

Inbound only.

Nice, Americus is a city in Georgia. Pretty small place but makes me feel better about owning Muncie in the same extension. :)

Yeah, I saw that, but it didn't seem that there was going to be much demand for that reason. I thought the made-up word as a brand/org was how it would go. Muncie has Ball State and is more of a hub, so even better.

I registered and sent to Sedo. Within 60 hours BIN was used.

Bought more domains with the profits and also subscribed to Namepros for I think the first time after 10 years of intermittent visiting.

Dan BIN, hold time 11 months, drop reg.

This domain is indeed worth more (retail price) but I've never been fond of the niche and it was not on my long list. Renew was coming, didn't want to renew it, reduced price couple days ago and it sold.
