I read that the last vcr manufacturing company shut down in 2016.
I'm sure VCRs will still get sold but I'm not sure if naming the company VCR would make sense seeing how it would probably sell other old video/audio equipment.

So does this have higher value than a "normal" 3L.net or nah?

Na, but damn, it has so much Nostalgia value, it will certainly have sentimental bidders if it comes on Namejet

Plenty of other acronyms it could be used for - just got to get that point across :xf.smile:

Personally like the below use .......

Virtual Classroom - which is a type of VLE (virtual learning environment)

https://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/VCR

A quick Google search for Virtual Classroom VCR throws up websites showing/promoting/selling 3D/ AR and virtual classes and it fits .net extension quite nicely.........imo

I like it (y)

There are quite a few popular technologies that use the acronym.

eg:

Video Conference Recording

Voice Command Recognition

Voice Cockpit Recorder

and when all else fails, Very Cute Rear ;)

That's a good point. Somehow I didn't consider the fact that it could mean different things seeing how everyone (not too young) knows what a VCR is. V is indeed a good starting letter for an acronym in this day and age.

Thanks for this. As mentioned above, I didn't even consider other acronyms. I guess the old meaning of the acronym might fall into oblivion.

You think? What would you estimate its reseller value to be while we're at it?

Looking at the last 12 months (192) of sales data on Namebio high xxx - low x,xxx seems about right for reseller pricing.......circa $800 - $2,000 somewhere in and around this range seems to be the sweet spot, maybe as low as $500 - depends on the bidders
