Good to hear. Was the software not functioning as expected, or was there another reason for the refund?

The software is not functioning as expected. I can't catch any single domain name. I try to catch .co.uk, .in, .de, and .eu, but the dropcatch software failed to catch it. The response time for .eu domain is worse. I only got 3 response in 5 second while I try to catch .eu extension. So that the reason I request refund.

I want to make it clear that the software itself is working well.
But some users don't understand that domaining requires patience, a lot of patience.

There are 3 levels of players in the game of dropcatching.
Tier 1: Registrar Level
Tier 2: Registrar's reseller API level
Tier 3: Hand registration manually

Although the API DropCatch Software will not be able to compete with Tier 1 players, especially for .com domains.
But the user still have a chance to compete with Tier 2 players and Tier 3 players. So if the domains the user try to drop catch are not pursued by tier 1 players, they may have a chance to catch it.

I see. After researching on the internet, the source of the problem is Dynadot API and not your software. I read some older thread in this forum that Dynadot API will give you more allocate resources from registry if you spend a lot of money in your account. If user 1 spend $100 and User 2 spend $1000, User 2 will have more allocate resources from Dynadot API. I use Dynadot since 2016 for hand registration manually. the first impression is good. I can catch domain name with hand registration even I am not a big spender. But since 2019-2021 I can't catch any domain name in Dynadot manually. The system always busy when the drop time came.

I understand now. Dynadot will not give you drop domain if you are not a big spender. Yesterday, I try to use the other registrar and Dynadot in the same time to catch drop domain manually. The domain name became Available on the other Registrar for me to catch. But on Dynadot, the domain name is not Available. Their system just give me "!" symbol when the drop time came.

You did a good job for making the DropCatch Monster – Dynadot API @kam . I love using it. But It's useless to use your software if I am not a big spender on Dynadot. Their system will always busy when the drop time came on my account. My mistake is choosing DropCatch Monster – Dynadot API version and not other registrar.

I think, I will transfer all of my domain in Dynadot to other registrar. It's useless to use their services now if I am not a big spender. For everyone who tried to catch domain name on Dynadot, think again. Dynadot will not give you the drop domain via this software or hand registration manually if you are not a big spender.

Completely disagree.

1. even when you have funds in your account, the domain might take a very long time to register. It all depends on how lucky you were at that particular moment. Dynadot has this delayed registration issue for a very long time.

2. to achieve what you say, and assuming that it's almost impossible to know the absolute exact time a domain drops, you will need to paste and click 'bulk register' multiple times until you find any of the domains free to register.
Not only that is a bad tactic (overloading the website), I expect after a few tries the website will throttle you.

With the API, while you will experience exactly the same problem as (1) , with (2) there will be no such issue since the 0.99 second you mentioned is the MAX an api call takes to send the register command and grab the domain.

In all cases however, both a high spender API user & Dynadot's Backorder will beat someone that hand registers via the website every time

It was. But not anymore for a little spender like me.

You dont need to paste every time, you can setup automatic refresher addon for browser for every 5-10 seconds and you know that .com domains drop from 7pm to 7:30pm (in my timezone), add money to prepay, and just be ready for 30min, once that appear "available" just click to register and in one second you will get "congratulation" screen

It depends on which domain extensions you want to dropcatch and also how many people try to catch the same domain. Anyway, API Dropcatch Software is mainly for less competitive domain extensions.

API Dropcatch Software can't beat snapnames.com dropcatch.com in .com extensions. But you may stands a chance to beat the guys waiting to register the name manually.
