In all seriousness, another Vertical acquisition

Went Horizontal (Uniregistry, direct competitor)
Vertical (Neustar, indirect Registry)and now the MMX Registry best known .club. ,design etc. .Club squeezed havin same name “Clubhouse”

This means your domain can be less suggested on GD search result in the future. Prepare your mind, keyboard and mouse...

I may have one or two.

Good acquisition... For them . Not a fan of mmX extensions but owning them fits the long game GD is playing.

They probably won't, but it'd be cool if they bring down pricing significantly.

GD is loot company, their USP is to loot customers money by using silly bad tactics and malpractices. If ( .com) takeover by GD then I will stop investing in domain

I knew that .design and Porkbun had a relationship, but did not realize Porkbun were subsidiary - would have assumed it other way around.

Porkbun is a well liked registrar with smooth operation and great prices. I hope there are no changes coming. Tagging a rep at Porkbun for confirmation of situation. @SlackJawedYokel

probably realize their their standard business model is failing due to their shenanigans.

personally, i think its awful for everybody that godaddy is doing this and controls so much. godaddys reputation is nonexistent nowadays

Clubhouse has responded saying they have not experienced a breach of their systems and said that the data is already publicly available and that it can be accessed via their API which raises some questions about the privacy stance of the company allowing for anyone to gather even public profile information on a mass scale. We have sent some follow up questions regarding their API policy and will update when we have more information.

Yes nothing is impossible, but if GD takeovers (.com) then they will play a big game with customers and will show their real colors of malpractices. So it is always better that some other registrar companies must pull up their socks and compete with GD otherwise monopoly will kill domain investors from (.com)

Thanks for the tag, Bob. Sorry for the delay, I've been away on "vacation". It's true, Porkbun is owned by Top Level Design but we've always operated independently so there will be no changes whatsoever. The only thing being sold is the .design TLD, no other part of the business. As for which is a subsidiary of what, the registry business actually came first, then when I came on board we were like "Hey, let's build a registrar!", and so we did
