What do I have to do to get an Afternic sales rep (Matt Holden) to stop harassing me?

I've repeatedly asked them to stop contacting me but they are relentless.

Very unprofessional. They do not honor my requests to stop e-mailing me.

Do you owe them money?

I inquired about a domain name. It was overpriced so I declined their offer. Now they won't stop e-mailing me, month after month.

December, I reply, politely: "Nevermind, the min. offer was 10x what I was willing to pay anyway."

January: They continue e-mailing, I say: "Stop contacting me, please. I've made it clear I'm not interested."

February: they continue e-mailing.

Today they mail again.. I repeated my request using words that were much less polite.

If they do it monthly only it is OK , I believe it is a really good effort from them they to keep trying to make a deal between interested buyer and seller !
if you are the domain owner ( seller ) , you will not mind they to keep following the offers of intrested buyers by any way , because thats for your benifit, but when the opposite happening you got disturbed !! BUT thats human nature!

I wish if all afternic team like that and they keep following offers i receive , it is really appreciated .
because it will increase sales in general and make profit at the end .

Take it easy and just dont reply and ignore their email if you are not intrested .

I would stop here when I get a clear reply.

Sounds like a beginning of the joke about domainers

...A domainer comes to the domain store and asks about a domain.
Salesperson:
– Excuse me, are you a domainer?
Domainer:
– Yes, why?
Salesperson:
– We do not sell domains to domainers!
Domainer:
– Outrageous! I wanna talk to the manager!
Proceeds to the manager.
– Your staff told me you don't sell domains to domainers! That is a violation of my rights! I'm going to complain!
Manager:
– Are you a domainer?
Domainer:
– Yes, and what is wrong with that?!!
Manager (quietly):
– Shhh! They are overpriced!

The money is in the follow up duh!!!!
Perhaps they need a better CRM, to flag domainers, ie, but no follow up, no sales.

And I agree. Those afternic domains are hugely overpriced. What do they think they are selling. $10 domains selling for $10,000. Crazy buggers

@Matthew Holden Luckily, this will not end with the C&D letter or filing UDRP.

linkedin.com/in/matthewdavidholden

Or contact Matt's teacher - Michael Cyger.

Most don’t respond well to being harrassed. It doesn’t make someone want to buy your name more but LESS.

You are alone in your appreciation of hounding potential buyer months and months after deal went no where. If it was me, I would never buy that name even if I wanted it.

Just tell him that you will get back to him next month after you clear with your wife.
And keep telling him the same thing for 12 times.

... with your wife or with his wife ?

Don't bitch. Pitch! ... one of your names -each time s/he contacts you.
Offer to pay a higher commission... under-the-table.
Why waste a go-getter?

Hi bro I hope you can relax. Maybe life has too much pressures. Totally understood

I have 1 personal email, 6 business emails, 3 industries. Everyday I got over 300+ emails sent to my different addresses. Many of them are marketing companies sales, domains sales, SEO sales, design sales. I don't have too much time to reply them and ask them to stop, what I do is simply ignore them with respect.

The reason is that I see everyone has an uneasy life and they are working hard to reach out for making money.

I usually send outreach emails myself too! and when someone have interest I will definitely send followup emails again. This is the environment, this is the industry, and this is the nature of people

Why do people make trouble for themselves? I signed up here and the majority of posts are from BIG BABIES. Who cares if someone emails or calls you too much. it takes 2 SECONDS to BLOCK ANYONE from calling/texting/emailing you - if they are a legitimate business.

Unfortunately, the MANY SPOOFED calls from India and other places are too PC to call out. These spoofed number calls are the criminals - not Afternic.

If you are going to get your underwear in a bunch, rise up against nefarious email/phone contacts.
