When you outbound, do you put less price than estibot or GoDaddy's appraisals?

Because everyone does their own diligence and end users also valuates the domain using GoDaddy or estibot and show GoDaddy or estibot values lower price than what the seller quoted.

So if estibot values your domain to be $500 and GoDaddy $1000, do you quote more than $1000 or less than $500 when you outbound?

Never use automated appraisal tools....ever. It's a random figure it picks out.

Quote what you're happy with.

Bro I know that.

I asked because if I quote an higher price and the end user valuates themselves and says " why you asking for $$$$, when godaddy shows this domain is valued at $$$" .

end users dont go to Godaddy for an appraisal, thats why I said just quote a figure youre happy with. Makes no difference how it compares to automated appraisal.

That's part of out-bounding.

A) "GoDaddy Domain Appraisals are algorithms based on past sells not current values, especially in the [niche] industry." <-- You have to pitch, just have counters ready or valid reasons for the price.

B) Just get them to summit a bid, really if you just get them to visit the Lander then that's 87% of the work.

Stop worrying about what they could/would do. That being said everyone loves a deal and most outbound buyers will only buy if they feel it is worth it. Worse, if they know about Godaddy Appraisals then they know that waiting till the name drops is when to buy.

Out bounding domains is more trad marketing/pitches/salesmanship than domains.

postscript :: I mostly cold outbound @ $195-$360 these prices tend not to require a board-meeting. but I have sold some 1ks, including to a person who 17 emails prior called me a no good doodoo eating namesquatting fatherless son.

If GoDaddy estimates your name of $1000, in 98% cases that would be a pretty bad name. Normally they quote 80% of names you'll never sell (or sell very low), between $500 and 1300.
But I definetely agree with previous comment on not too think much what the end user would do. Very true that all these appraisals will be used by domainers only, never the end user (unless he experienced in domains). From what you said, I'd go with some lower XXX (altrhough it's hard to tell exactly without knowing the name).
