I only started to change the way I have done things pretty much since beginning of February this year.

Recently I have had success but that's no guarantee that things will continue. The last month and a bit could have just been a fluke.

Most of my portfolio was reg fee and when I do buy in the aftermarket I do try to haggle my hardest.

So bulk majority of my portfolio is reg fee and aftermarket purchases usually range from $xx to low $xxx where I can.

I'm assuming
Domain name: Gold // Coins // (dot) // app
Sale venue: DAN (Mar 19 2021)
Lander: DNS to DAN
Listing type: BIN
Asking price: USD 950 BIN
Sale price: USD 950

Purchase venue: Godaddy (Apr 2020)
Purchase price: $15 + transfer to Porkbun $13.75

Seller quite lucky as well :xf.wink: 5k in two months for a name I had zero competition for at all in GoDaddy expired auctions.

Truth is I changed my mind after agreeing to a 5k deal with the end user. We had a little heart to heart a few days later and because I am a man of my word I decided it was best to keep my integrity.

Yes the seller had a great deal, but when I originally contacted him I was only looking for 5k because that is what I thought I would be happy with. And being honest I am still happy. This name as gone to the right company.

I contacted one end user only.

I was contacted by a GoDaddy broker because the buyer wanted to use his broker because he says he's always purchased his names that way so trusts that method.

Yeah after I told the buyer I changed my mind about the 5k I did put a 20k bin on the lander.

The thing I took into consideration was that even though tech is a great keyword, the main attraction of NFT's is the marketplaces and the items themselves.

There was already a company as well branding themselves around NFT Tech which potentially could have put off other end users from launching with the same brand.

So I considered all aspects and thought I am turning low $xx to mid $x,xxx in two months.

Also a consideration was that I also have NFTtrading (.com)

In my opinion NFT Trading is a much more relevant name in this niche because that is what is actually happening. NFT,s are being exchanged/traded.

So all in all I am content with my decision. WELL I THINK I AM:facepalm::ROFL:
What made you buy NFT domains 2 months before the recent hype?

Insider information, intuition? And did you expect the boom to be just 2 months away?

Thanks for the inspiration.

Just reading comments in the NFT thread here on namepros made me search if there was anything available.

I absolutely had no idea about the NFT boom that was about to take place.

NFTs have been around for at least 3 years, they aren't new. The recent momentum really did start to pick up back around September/October of 2020. The giant boom is just weeks old though. It was in the news if you follow the crypto headlines.

Whats ur idea for NFT trend future Sir ?

Like most new market booms, rapid growth and tons of investment, then a correction, followed by a mature market. Lots more regulation likely coming soon too, but that's only my opinion, and one of many. Anything can happen!

NFT's are mostly likely going to merge into large projects where individuals socialise. Lots in the crypto industry are referring to this as the "metaverse" but its really where the vr/ar/xr/ai industry meets the crypto world.

It's happening now to be honest but people in the virtual worlds will be able to buy NFT real estate/items/land that will hold or appreciate in value in a similar way that things do in the real world.

So NFT's although gimmicky at the moment do have a very important future to play in the social worlds that will be part of the future.

This is just my opinion on how I see thing progressing

Well I think I do contribute to the for sale thread but I will stop posting in it from now on(y)

I was just being courteous to the person who asked the question. Same as I did when you asked me about the vr names I sold.

I did ask. but it was one question one reply... this here was full on nft chatter.. real great for the nft thread btw. cheers ;)

Listed @ AN & Dan ($38,000)

I GUESS, they'll name one of their Solar power - Blockchain projects/investment or even to sell name + project for more. Once NDA 18 months expire I can post an interesting story.

Did you outbound this name?

He said a broker handled it.

what are u saying..brokers dont outbound? or brokers dont handle as in finalize a sale which u previously did outbound on

it's a valid question. cause the odds to handreg name these days and sell it for 40k or so aftr few months are about same as winning lottery.

Purchase price: $3.00 (handreg, Rebel promo)
Hold time: 6 months

Maybe I left some money on the table with this one, but I'm still happy with the ROI :)
4th .co sale this month, portfolio size is around 450.

good sale. this is just little co no megabomb nothing. u are lucky to get the sale. tons of people go with no sale on similar quality .co regs.. just let them expire etc.. u prolly got this due to afternic network.. but of course its impossible to tell if it would get sold without it too.. people expect too much for little .co or other noncom names...set prices xxxx and never get sales.

I also sell quite frequently at 200-500 range and seeing several similar names sold for 2000-2999 among friends, I have increased my prices again to see.. WIll reduce price only when 3 months left to expire. Motivated buyer still do get in touch. I had one listed for 2990 and buyer negotiated hard and I gave in for 990. $3 registration and week old lol.. It is still not transferred due to SAV/DAN conflict so I will report once it is tramsferred.

what does that imply..when u say not transfered yet due to their conflict? who is saying what to u exactly.. and what do u have to do how to finalize it?

cause I know people who had zero issue completing sav name sale via dan

They have stopped processing all SAV sales. I have done several SAV sales on DAN, but now they have stopped. Not even transfers. DAN messaged me specifically that this particular sale was the last SAV transaction they will process for me for reasons they can't "tell". And they won't even assist in SAV transfers even though Buyer is willing to receive in SAV account. That is it. It is OK. I have delisted all SAV names from DAN, now pointing to UNI or Afternic.

They will take the auth code when 60 days are up.

ah ok..that's good. at least they take auth code. cause even if they did not..u could still trnasfer it in yer own elsewhere like dyna..then ask them for push. would be silly to refuse that... still it's an issue if name under 60d lock..but at same time we all know sedo dan etc dont just have accounts everywhere for push.

I mean even on sedo with no sav conflict u can still forget ever doing push to sedo on sav...

Not sure if you understood.
They won't do Auth code either.

This was the last transaction they was doing for me using Auth Code, and after this they won't even do that. They will simply not process.
You cannot sell any on DAN if it is registered on SAV. No Inter Transfer, no auth code, nothing.

oh ok. I thought u said..they will take auth code.. I thought u meant in all cases.

well then now it's just silly. I understand dan not want to open accnt on sav for push.. but not to take code..hmmm.. or even worse not to let owner trnasfer to say dyna and then do push.. that's another level silly.

I'm gonna ask for a forever 19383838% confirmation of this.. for all... cause all I hear now is mixed stories. @LaszloSchenk

.co is my secret weapon :) I don't say coms are dead, even handreg coms are not dead either, but it's extremely hard to be profitable nowadays. You need experience, years of knowledge, money to burn, you need to know the latest trends, you have to take risks, you need to be very flexible (e.g. if a marketplace doesn't give you sales then you have to move your portfolio to somewhere else), creative, and of course, lucky. On the other hand, the learning curve for .co is a bit less steep, it's a cheaper investment and the best part is that the ROI for handregged .co-s seems to be better than handregged .coms. Building a huge portfolio of decent or even "okay" .coms is very difficult and pricey (reg fee + renewals). I don't like this situation at all, because deep in my heart I'm a brandable .com domainer, but it seems that .co and .eu are simply more profitable for me :)

Nigeria is also famous for Fela Kuti and Afrobeat which has a growing popularity in the states, not to mention one of the highest achieving immigrant populations there.
Be careful not to make yourself out to be an ignorant bigot with lazy sweeping statements.

I'm going to be 100% honest. I read the first of your post and was very humble to reply my interest to Google new information and learn for a wider view and open mind for your equality of sharing education.

But then ... you like to judge your own poison. .. i see.
