This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Congrats, Great sale!
How do you send your emails, automation tool or just manually & do you use a professional email or just gmail/hotmail?

Also for the tool to find leads (prospects & emails....)?

Thank a lot, keep the hustle :D

I just use a standard Gmail account.

For finding emails I use hunter (.io) and rocket reach

I just manually send emails. I don't do many outbounds tbh so just use free search subscription with hunter and rocket reach.

==================

Job/App/ .co

$1000

Got an offer via DomainAgents $700 ( domain was listed everywhere at $1485 ), negotiated to $1000.

Hold time until the deal agreed - 3 months

Now, this was another awful experience with @Escrow.com . Unfortunately, DomainAgents work only with escrow.com, so every time i get an offer from DomainAgents i'm thinking - do i really need all the very possible headaches. But yes i also need money, so i responded ))

So, first, after everything was agreed and the buyer sent his payment, escrow.com said that they can't verify the payment. Few emails back and forth with @DomainAgents , but they refused to find an alternative escrow method.

Then i already gave up on this deal; but after 5 weeks i got email that the payment was verified. Good thing that nobody bought the domain in the mean time! Come on, 5 weeks??

But then, escrow.com had the second surprise for me. When i tried to set up my payout, they knocked me with a news that they don't do payouts to Payoneer anymore, even if this is done via regular ACH.

I mean, it's your business and you are in full rights to decide how to perform it; but when you change terms for your clients, tell us about it BEFORE we make and close deals via you. Right? If i knew you have stopped sending to Payoneer, the deal would not happen. What a stinky business practice. Another proof of them not giving a damn to their clients.

Then, what to do now? And they don't send payouts to bank accounts with different name. So i can't use any of my company accounts, because the escrow account is on my personal name.

Fortunately, there is a bank account in some other country for my name. So i set the payout to there, but it costed me another $20.

Another case of escrow.com to be avoided if only possible.

What do you mean by Dan generated lead?

Sorry if that was confusing.

Basically I outbound emailed the company to see if they had interest in buying the domain name.

Once they showed an interest I created the transaction with dan.

So because I sent the business to Dan they only charge 5% commission if the lead was created by me as the seller.

Do you mind telling how long it took to sell? And it seems Afternic and GoDaddy are good places for the sale of .xyz or these are just your preferred places.

This is my first .net sale ever.
Well I have sold a lot of websites with a .net tld, well, in fact my first Big sale was a .net for Mid 5 figures on flippa some 10 years back. Which is why I bought a bunch of single word useless .net when I started domain investing last year, lol.. I like .nets you see....

I bought this in August last year. Fresh off the boat. I didn't know what to buy.
I even forgot I had this name, but this was in Afternic FT and got sold when I woke up. SOld and transferred.

Funny, I have sold quite a few of my Hand reg already and I would say my Hand reg spree in my initial days have been very profitable rofl. I won't renew but damn, i won't repeat.. I guess I was lucky.
